In my opinion, wakizashi with High Parry and low chance proc to bleeding is the best. so that I prefer your "of the cheetah" than "of the nimble".

QUOTE(cmal @ Dec 21 2010, 16:13) I dislike the idea of having to bid on an entire equipment set. Not worth it for just that one piece you really want.
Basically. I was somewhat interested in the shoes in the elementalist set, but all the rest of it was trash, so I'd essentially be paying like 400k+ for just the shoes. Nah.

What you're forgetting is, that this way the seller is losing, because that single piece would be bought by the same price, but with the others remaining he could get extra credits. This post has been edited by cmdct: Dec 22 2010, 04:40

Perhaps. I don't think it would have gone for as much on it's own though. Also of note is what miwabe's robe ended up going for heh. I was never really serious about it, but I'm surprised no one else at all gave it a shot.

Perhaps because they would be bidding against hito (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Agreed. Your demon-fiend robe has similar stats but is going for way more. This is why for items that is rare and is pretty much one of a kind, I would add a rule to not sell it unless the final going price is desirable. Of course, this might piss off a lot of buyers, but hey, if they don't like the rule then they don't have to bid on it. That robe is one of the few items I've seen in auctions that I would actually bid over 100k, which is saying a lot in my terms considering how little credits I have. If I had the money, I would have bid on it, but I was broke from buying hath for one of the hath perks. Two things that were surprising over the auctions in the past week were miwabe's robe and hitokiri's katana. In my honest opinion, the selling prices for those two items should be switched, that robe going for 150k doesn't do it justice.

I've said it before, but I'm against the idea of a reserve price. Obviously, people can do as they like with their own auctions though.

I'm pretty sure you aren't the only one. Real auctions have a similar rule such as this and it's also to prevent scenarios like this from occurring. The katana that sold for a million is decent but not great, the proc chance and duration could have been better, while this robe was excellent and went for 150k. Meh.

I personally don't like reserve prices, although for future high value auctions I may adjust certain details (silent auction or not end the auction until all bidders have consented).

That just left Lezard. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Hrrrm. I just bought a certain evade piece out of the bazaar, and I'm really curious if whoever sold it really meant to sell it.
I'm assuming if it was mistake, that you know who you are. It was level 222. If you can provide further details on the type/evade of the item, I'll return it if you want.

Evade 9.6? Lol. I'm pretty sure there's less than 5 people above lvl222, so it wouldn't be that hard to check >_>

222 is not a high level. Try 260, and even then there might be more than 5 people in that range.

hito, cmal, conquest, ever4, cmdct, miwabe, tens, ichigai, saotomi... I think that's it. -1 for conquest. And most likely -1 for hito because I'm sure he'd notice immediately (and if someone bought it in the time it took for him to realize I'm sure WE WOULD ALL know about it - including Tenb (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)). ~10 give or take. Not many. Maybe Marcho too if I could find one of his posts and confirm it lol. This post has been edited by DemonEyesBob: Dec 22 2010, 06:56

This is why I'm not just outright posting the item. Also.... Me, hito, cmal, Boggy, 4everlost, miwabe, Tenseigamoon, and I think that's it? No idea how many people are above 220 at this point. And marcho has been posting recently and is nowhere near 220. This post has been edited by Conquest101: Dec 22 2010, 06:59

It's hard to pinpoint with 100% accuracy even if you have a list of all the people above level 220. QUOTE(Conquest101 @ Dec 21 2010, 22:54) This is why I'm not just outright posting the item. Think so, unless there's some random lurker that is over 260, which I doubt.

For auctions, I prefer to do it sudden death until one bidder remains. I give it around a day of bid-free activity before I PM the non-top bidder. Of course, the number of starting bidders is obviously more than one. I don't really like to put deadlines, because I'm not likely to be around often to enforce them.
Oh, and I'm over 220.

260 is not a high level. Relatively. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) QUOTE(Conquest101 @ Dec 21 2010, 22:54) This is why I'm not just outright posting the item. Also.... Me, hito, cmal, Boggy, 4everlost, miwabe, Tenseigamoon, and I think that's it?
Not mine. Not possible since I'm locked up in the next impossibly long you-know-what. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) This post has been edited by hitokiri84: Dec 22 2010, 07:46
