QUOTE(LangTuTaiHoa @ Apr 17 2012, 21:11) Bleed is much faster than stun (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) . Too bad some begin to hit nasty when they bleed enough to agitated state (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) That's why I would SS them before they're agitated.

No, I still enjoy playing as a mage. But now at lv. 300 I would like to try different styles and compare their efficiency. Besides, I would need some better prof. to try meleeing at IWBTH difficulty against tons of monsters. Nah I don't. I'm still playing in x8 difficulty against trio, and I use holy suit to level up my equips (probably because I get more potions and less deaths) This post has been edited by varst: Apr 17 2012, 15:41

Never seen any 1h/shield. Most go 2h for everything and DW for RoB

QUOTE(ChosenUno @ Apr 17 2012, 23:56) Because melee just got way better, that's all (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Mage still have some advantage on lower-difficulty gameplay and speeding through arenas. IMO the major advantage of meleeing is that it can last longer (deeper into IW/GF/CF) and uses less potions. You can't really ask a melee to finish each round of x8 arenas in a few turns. Overall I think to last a large number of rounds, both mage and melee now needs to put in roughly the same amount of effort. I think.

No, melees definitely have the edge when it comes to BT/IWBTH. I've been doing a Magnificent IW on Hell/Nintendo and towards the end monsters can easily take up to 3/4 of your SP in a single turn when using Phase + Spirit Shield (without SS you simply die, so that's no fun either).

That's why I limit the case to arenas; you'll almost never run out of mana (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) With IW i would suggest x1 for mages; it takes much less time than a melee to finish on hell difficulty, and you'll activate the same result (with almost the same time required) if you finish that three times. How is it any different for a whacker thrown in the same situation? He'll still see 3/4 of his spirit points volatilize in but a turn...
