I don't think you need to do a shatter while targets have PA. You don't get a damage bonus anymore for shattering penetrated armor targets (hidden change) so it's still optimal to shatter when your OC is near max and you have Spirit Stance on just for the SS.

How does the scythe strategy work? Cuz it didn't for me since patch... 0.6.0 or something.
I tried again today and it still fails me. I'm guessing you need proper melee armor, full light or heavy.
Cuz it drains too much hp from my cloth set. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Best is full sharded heavy. Shardless Light Armor works well too (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I use a Longsword, but only when I feel like using enchantments. Because my Scythe is low level right now.

Sidenote: IWBTH hourly while being unarmed kinda blows...

I often use an Exquisite eth longsword of balance when using shade or sometimes power armor. Its the highest bleed eth i have & its got a nice AAB/ACB. Using that I don't need to use shards.

I must have close to 200 2HD weapons I can pick from and I like the sword. And I haven't found a weapon I feel I need to upgrade yet. I did pickup THIS from my Faux Rainbow Mane Cap. If it had higher bleed I would think about upgrading it.

The thing with SS is you can do this on any level, if I had upgraded gear/weapon I could do this on IWBTH.

Maybe I should lend out my scythe on condition that the person borrowing it levels it to at least 250. (Where it gains the 7th turn of bleed.)
