QUOTE(EvolutionKing @ Dec 13 2010, 18:30) If that happens, Trophies would likely become disabled in the Bazaar.
I see no problem.

The old problem of the low level player paying to the higher player to donate trophies would appear again.

No it wouldn't. You still wouldn't be able to send trophies and buying high levels' trophy rewards isn't any different from what's going on now.

I think the idea was being that high level high LotD players could charge a "processing fee" for a low level player to dump the trophies in the bazaar, the high level to purchase them from the bazaar, turn them in and send the results to the low level. For say a manbearpig tail, a high level could charge 1500-2000c and make 500-1000c for the turnaround. It's the same thing that was happening when you could send trophies through moogle mail, but with the added credit hit of having to go through the bazaar. No one does it now because trophies are generally a ball of fail so why take the 1000c credit hit of bazaar transactions, but if LotD affecting trophies showed any real benefit it would likely pick up again.

A non-issue, since EvoKing's original comment was that you'd not be able to even sell them to the bazaar. So there wouldn't be trophies changing hands.

I think there's been a bit of a misunderstanding about the meaning of your posts lol.
Yes there is no problem as long as any manner of trophy exhange is disabled (ie like tokens) Still, I believe I remember this subject coming up before and Tenb saying he had no intention of having LotD influence Snowflake.

Frankly, I wouldn't care either way. I'm merely participating in discussion for the sake of discussion.

QUOTE(cmal @ Dec 12 2010, 12:04) Welcome to HentaiVerse, the game about diminishing returns.
And for everyone's edification, here is the formula for XP bonuses as described by Sonic:
Might be best to add a 1 + to that AuraSum since I added a 1 to that before I actually added the auras together in the calculator, which isn't shown in that previous equation. CODE (1 + SumOfAuras) * (1 + EXPAbilities + AdeptLearner + DailyPostCountBonus + ToplistEXPBonus) * (1 + HathEXPBonus)

I just noticed now, but the xp bonuses from awards are missing in that formula.

I'm curious. What exactly is the logic of holding auctions for any random items you happen to have? I'm mostly referring to some of the lower level auctions that have been run recently. I'm aware that lower levels can't make credits at the same rate we can, but seriously, the profit vs. time spent ratio in some of these cases is completely out of whack. The same holds true of any shops with tiny markups. Like netting 2-3k seems pointless to me. If you converted the time it took to list all the items, update bids, etc. and used it to do like 100 grindfest rounds, you'd certainly end up making more credits. It's the same reason I rarely update my shop anymore. I'm honestly not sure if I'm making a "profit" vs if I just blitzed through 500 rounds of a grindfest in the time it takes me to update/replay to PMs/send items. I've got it pretty much streamlined too. Copy-Paste canned responses and everything, and it STILL doesn't seem worth it. 2-3k is a lot for lower level players. Heck, even until recently I would be thrilled for making a 3k profit (and still am somewhat). Wasn't able to do over 100 rounds in normalfest until I switched over to maging. But it's probably chicken scratch to you who I'm assuming can make a few hundred thousand in a week or so.

I can't speak for others, (Well I'm high level anyway) but I do it mainly because it's only after I'm done with the dairy HVersing, so the time I waste doing that stuff, wouldn't be HVersing's time in the first place.

I need to get in on this racket. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

That's the reason why I have my shop and sometimes hold auctions as well....I do so after my daily HVersing. Cheers!

What conquest is doing is actually a benefit to the community. One might see as an attempt to take as many credits as possible from the lower levels, but if you think from their point of view, the increase in equipment is worth all those credits they spend on the auctions. I rather high levels do what conquest do rather than blow all their equipment in the bazaar and hide a few high quality ones in there in hopes that the system will destroy them before anyone can get to them. I despise those kind of people that just can't stand other people benefiting from their equipment. Keep up the good work Conquest, and keep those auctions coming (although I haven't bid on any of your auctions yet (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ).
