So far, it has been triggering OK, but there was the "usual" 503 glitch a few hours back.

Perhaps it triggered on a 503 error? Is that even possible?
Well the 503 was the only notable occurance.

I had the 503 error while I was in an hourly, had to wait ~ 10 mins.

You shouldn't have access to the site during a 503 error, so random encounters shouldn't be affected.
You may not have been logged in to HV, though.

I was trying to use my keyboard to enter in the answer to riddle master, but since I was using the numbers to attack last turn, I entered 2 instead of the letter I needed. Now that my Stamina is back down again, guess I'm done for today as well, derp.

If you're lucky you can use the back button. Most browsers would store the previous page in the cache, so you can get the link back that way.

Sadly doesn't always work with random encounters, I've had mixed luck

Finally fixed HVSTAT's tagging function. I'm a happy HV player again.

I know that the quality prefix isn't a warranty for better quality but it is still annoying.
See for example Exquisite Kevlar Helmet of Protection for sale in the WTS section and my Superior Kevlar Helmet of Protection. Only thing better with the exquisite one is that it have slightly more Strength bonus and a bit less burden and interference so in what world is it of higher quality than mine. It's because some of its stats are outside the Fine range, that's all.

I meant to compare with the helmet in my signature which actually is worse than the exquisite negating my point.
But I still think it is annoying (but unavoidable) not to count on the quality prefix to compare quality.
