likely solution: ability points refunded, ability points multiplied by 5, effect of every ability point divided by 5 with point distributions requiring 5 times as much for the same effect, utility abilities like item slots/cures/support spells requires 5 points each
there's your 2000 point skill tree!
new feature: don't have to wait for page reloading to spend ability points

We should have a Synthesize option to level up an item by sacrificing/scrapping similar pieces of equipment (Staff > Staff, One-Handed > One-Handed, etc). Amount of levels gained could be determined by the rarity and quality of the forfeited item and/or by the level difference between the two. Oh well.

Its more what you want to use IW for. Finding gear/exp or just leveling up your items. Going 1000 rounds in a BT-IW would be a great place to find items. With each patch the time spent (turns/round) to clear each round keeps changing. More turns costs more mana, so you cant go as deep.

No thanks. One of the reasons I detest IW is because it keeps getting longer. So boooh to endless IW.
How about a different kind of IW? One that you don't start over from the beginning every friggin day? For example.. Say I'm level 150 and my item is 120. When I enter the IW of said item it takes me to Stage 121 and I need to beat it to proceed. But instead it's full of bosslike mobs to present a challenge of sorts. And also the IW should be capped at your level. So the point being. You could fight 1 tough battle to level it and also level it up in one go if you're strong enough. A way to make it challenging but still doable for everyone could be to fill it with legendaries. But instead of scaling them to your level, scale them to the current stage you're in. So if you're getting closer to your level it also gets tougher. But underleveled items can catch up more quickly. (Oh yeah.. no trophies for this.)

3 RLs + 3 IPUs + 3 FSMs + a tree sounds cool =) e: with 0 trophy drops ofc (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) and i guess it'd have to be scaled to your level otherwise you'll have level 10's going "wtfux am i supposed to do vs them" so something like 2 MBP's for gear at level 1-20. and goes all the way up to the awesome 3 RLs + 3 IPUs + 3 FSMs + a tree at level 200+? Oooooh I rather like this idea. Or how about once you enter an IW, you get a series of arena challenges. After each set of battles, you get a + to level; higher arenas = higher gains. Just copy/paste the arenas layout/tiering and replace arena reward w/ +item level. 20 rounds (boss fight at end) = +1, 30 rounds +2, etc. Equipment would need to be a certain level to unlock higher tiers of IW arenas.

100 is still a chore on Normal.

I couldn't say it's bad to implement your idea. First it looks like it would be much easier to finish 10 20-level IWBTH IWs than a 200-level IWBTH IW, but then I found that I also would just stop playing in normal IWs if your option's viable, which is what Tenb wants us to do: play in higher difficulty. So....if there's a chance, I would take your suggestion Ichy (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
