I seriously thought that, at the time when purng have that owls pic (a flock of it!) in his sig, he will add more owl to the flock as he get more owl phase.

I currently don't see any possibility of re-buffing fox/owl without making them too powerful.
Besides, you can say they're there to balance drop chance on phases.

I would suggest you to use elementalist at your level.

The only problem with this antique phase is that it's a pain to upgrade.
