because they might now need two hits +miss for a monster instead of one hit +miss (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Er....Assholes like me still going on pretty well, while those 'innocent' new players have to drop their difficulty?
If you ask me, Tenb can probably implement the monster buff without decreasing the hp bonus for increasing difficulty.
Then I'm going to get hurt seriously.

Maybe it's just me but... did Giants got even better in this update?

I mean they lost 25 % Piercing, but that is a complete non-factor in endgame: mages don't care, melee got Ethereal - and if they don't it's pretty much Crush for Maces and Bleed for everything else, so they resist both.

But the new HP boost seem to enhance their already formidable bulkiness: other monsters one literally tears them apart unless they're Lisi and the likes, but even 'average' (350-400) Giants just don't go down, and get more chances to skill crit you with the whole evasion nerf thing...

Why would they need to drop difficulty? They mostly just play at normal to begin with anyway, and at low level, mobs HP at higher diff are actually lower than before; more than 50% for IWBTH.

But the same could be said for any level, not specifically for new layer. (high lv player face higher HP multiplier than the low level)

@ lower levels IWBTH is pretty much out of your league since they hit and crit like trucks, but as a lowbie you cannot counter that with debuffs and skills, unless you're willing to waste money on scrolls and infusions - which kinda negates the effort :E

So unless they're playing in heroic or above at lv.50, or nightmare and above at lv. 100, you're going to get monsters with more hp.
I know the title bonus is back, but I'm not sure if it can balance the increment in HP...

And more importantly, you can observe many responses in the patch notes page that lower-level players find the game more difficult, and have to drop their difficulty.
You may say that they've advantage in leveling before the patch, but now that they need to drop the difficulty, thus leveling up slower.
And most players above lv. 200 who primarily plays in difficult arenas don't feel they get nerfed.

I do use Ethereal, and they are not fucked lol, because they have the highest HP in the game.

Seriously, I hardly see anyone say anything good about this patch, if at all. A few are high level melee, like myself for example, plus a few mage hater. But really, this patch aren't that good, my speed are the same at best in some case and a bit slower to a lot slower for at worst, but overall seem to an improvement from the last patch. I still have yet to do any IW so my impression may actually better than it actualy should, so meh....

I would still like the old OC back, TBH. The current way is so darn tedious to play... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

Everything has become even more dependent on how good your equipment is. It's only logical that low-level players with their crappy gear will suffer the most from this. For example, a mediocre shade set will suddenly give almost no evade anymore. The only thing that can be done is to gear up and get an ethereal weapon and new shade/shadowdancer shade. Which most low-level players simply can't afford.
And that's not even mentioning maging efforts. I really wonder if good gossamer will be enough to do anything.

Either way it's a whole lot of trouble to go through just to be able to survive and advance in level. And well, it's hardly getting any better if you do level up.
I made it to 200 with a crappy shade/kevlar set that wouldn't do much now. I would be really pissed if I hadn't done it already.
