Hence why some sort of mathematical model, even a more idiot-proof lookup table, would be preferred. Trying to code logic for something like that is a giant PITA, and debugging and testing it is just as bad because so many things can go wrong.

Call me a moron, but I am having trouble figuring the chart out. I have an axe that has had BW duration 4 from IIRC high 60s to its current high 90s. Any estimates when it may switch to duration 5?

If you are sure it had a duration of 4 in the 60's, it should get 5 at level 100.

Oh, what the heck. Here's a list to begin with. Can't guarantee all values are covered, though. I'll probably need more 2 turn staffs of the same or higher level. Let's say a maximum of 10 more for the moment, for those who wish to contribute. I trawled through the WTS section and added a few more.

Well, we're making a little progress here, but I still don't have any exact numbers, so I went and trawled through the WTS section looking for more staffs. I added some more that might possibly have different base durations from the ones I started with. Thanks to hentai_fusion and Cyberdemon for submitting staffs, btw, though unfortunately it looks like they didn't add any new duration values. (I included one of them, just in case.)

No, it's because I forgot such a thing existed. I found yuripe's post about it, and since she always posts in the level up thread I was able to find out that she was level 81 at the time. That means the base duration must be a lot higher than anything else I've seen. Anyway, I've added it to the list at No.11.
