I'm sure I won't be able to go through the whole translation anytime soon, but if you find at any point that something is quite unintelligible and irreconcilable with the story, PM me with info, and I can compare specific Japanese pages with translation and try to make sense of it. Thanks for the vote of confidence, but at best i'll only be able to rejigger it to sound easier. Doing so many edits between them, remembering little things about previous volumes would require some back tracking (not to mention i've only seen a few actual episodes of SM). So i'll do what I can and let you have it from there.... But a 10,000C bribe payment (paid by me) doesn't hurt either if anyone wants to do a couple hours of work for me and rework this.

I'll help. I still feel bad that I couldn't get through the whole thing on my own, but between the two of us I'm sure we could handle it.

EDIT: Here's what I got to. Out of 68 pages I only managed half ways through page 24. I'm sorry I couldn't do more, but as you get further in the story is seems to get harder to understand. Google translate helps with comparing the kanji with the English edits, but that only goes so far, and in some cases it's best to just put in what you think is right.

Again I'm sorry I couldn't do more. I'll help with whatever else is needed after you go over it Shanko.

Welp, *rolls up sleeves* i'll go ahead and edit this today. I don't know what will come of this or how it'll sound, but it WILL be finished (probably) today.

For the future, something to consider, particularly for bloodthirster18: I have never rejected a translation yet based on quality, but if we get a poor script, that would require significant proofreading, should we split the bounty somehow?

Recently I got a translation offer from a person who is very apparently not a speak of English as a native language, and whose script I am sure would have to be proofread much more than anything we have had to work so far. It wouldn't be terrible, it would be understandable, but it would need proofreading. Should we still go forth with it?

Actually those are doujin bundles, sorta like an omnibus. I use to own Soushuuhen 2 (a physical copy) and aside from a few color pages, it was basically Silent Saturn volume 1 to 3 or maybe 4 to 6 I think. We aren't really missing too much, aside from some color pages, and maybe a little more single art.

Also, I wonder if it would be worth it to put up a bounty for a better translation of Silent Saturn SS1? Nothing against hwiki, but as I read through the final thing that got uploaded, I wouldn't mind contributing to a bounty for a second look at the Japanese script. Someone who wouldn't mind doing the sfx as well.

I am not sure what you mean, but I misspoke (wrote) as well. I meant scan bounty, not scanlation (since we do the "lation" part ourselves).
