Hello,

I am trying to donate the equivalent of 20 USD in BCH to the site. I am doing so through Bitstamp, as the options in my country are limited.
I pasted the destination BCH address and got it converted.
Next step on the withdrawal page of Bitstamp requires I give the company name among other things. What am I meant to put there? Stupid question maybe, but I don't want to send my BCH into the ether, I'm sure you understand.

Would appreciate any help
Thanks!

Bitcoin transaction need only an address, why do they even need a company name? Too stupid if legal requirement.

The page after I enter the address asks me who I'm sending to, if it's an exchange or self-custody wallet, company or person, and then asks for company name

Maybe choose person instead of company.

I never had trouble getting the address. It's in the process of sending to the address that BitStamp is asking me for extra information that I do not have. Such as the company name and the exchange

It's the so-called "travel rule" which took effect recently. You can either make something up, or select that it's your own wallet (which it kinda is, but it might not work if they want to verify that you can send from it), or do it the "legit" way and download something like [electroncash.org] Electron Cash to your smartphone then temporarily send it there first.

(I wouldn't recommend using a software wallet on your PC, or storing large amounts on a smartphone wallet, due to the malware risk. But smartphone wallets are usually fine for smaller amounts.)
