yes, I think so, but that's also the limit where the initial stuff keeps me motivated.
I can't see an interesting goal beyond that, or the process feels too cumbersome to continue playing.

They're both great games. Just with a different focus. Also Rimworld is way more moddable with one of the most active mod communities out there, so any time I have some grievance with the game somebody's already fixed it.
After what happened with Starbound this is an absolute red flag to me.
Don't read me wrong: mods are cool and the extra effort from the community is commendable!
It is my opinion that having modding implemented is enabling a lazy attitude from developers, that just goes "I don't know what works, just let people mod it to their liking" approach.
