It just occurred to me that a man that identifies as a female is basically mansplaining what being a woman is to women.

It's kinda the same as a woman who thinks she's a guy telling me what a guy is.

It's peak irony.

Lots of (XX chromosomal) women seem to be cool with it without requiring any explanation honestly. It's often men trying to "protect women" (enforce gender roles) that cause issues - although I've not experienced that personally yet.

though there was one time someone (a coworker) did ask me if i knew if testosterone would stop the monthly visitor (menstruation).
So I guess different people want different things

That's basically been the core of the TERF crowd's argument all along.

Lots of (XX chromosomal) women seem to be cool with it without requiring any explanation honestly. It's often men trying to "protect women" (enforce gender roles) that cause issues - although I've not experienced that personally yet.

"Lots of women" aren't "cool with it". Lots of women just kowtow to whatever they sense is the general opinion in the room, which of course in modern times has been hijacked by tools like mass media and weighted algorithms. That's perhaps the most emblematic feature of women in general when it comes to any topic.
