Damn, the most sad I just read was the movement was originally GLBT, but then the gay men were hit hard by AIDs and lesbians took over event committees and changed it to LGBT.

For George Soros he grew up in Nazi occupied Hungary and talked about in the past the power he felt delivering the transport orders to Jewish families. It was from one of his earlier interviews that may now have been scrubbed.

Anyway i can see this is just yet another trans bashing thread, but the way i see it what happened is that homosexuality became largely accepted in the west, but being transgender did not get brought along for the ride. Realising they weren't getting anywhere with trying to stop gay people marrying, they moved down the list and found a new punching bag. The reason you hear so much about the "T" part of LGBT now is because it's the part that it's more socially acceptable to want to deny civil liberties to.
Regarding the topic/thread title, it is my opinion that LGBTQ should all be accepted as just other human beings, even if they're the weird ones. Not wanting the same things out of life that you do doesn't make them evil.

A lot of trans people use hormones obtained outside of the medical system; estrogens in particular are not even a controlled substance, and a huge bag of it synthesized can be had for probably what a handful of vials costs that will be enough to provide hormones for dozens of people for a decade or more. A lot of mutual aid goes on because plenty of trans people hate the medical establishment, too. It forces people to jump through so many hoops to get whatever they're looking for that they (or I at least) just don't have the money, nor the time, nor the energy for. Lots of doctors don't know shit about this stuff, and it can be like trying to get your tubes tied where a doctor just claims "You'll change your mind later" or "The biological clock is ticking" or some retarded bullshit like that. Like they know you better than you do despite seeing you for 30 minutes out of a year.
As for testosterone, body builders use it so apparently it isn't actually too difficult to come by compared to what I might have thought.
"women's spaces" aren't something I have any real desire to enter, although there are some I know that would look stranger walking into a men's restroom where I actually think they'd get less friction using the women's one. I don't think it actually matters where people take a piss as much as Rowling claims that it does.

Putting ideological issues aside I am not sure why they use the dangerous first and second gen synthetic estrogen in men.
Regulate lutenizing hormone for progesterone, downregulate sex binding hormone, upregulate aromatase through cell membrane cross activation of androgen receptors (to avoid androgenic effects) and then can take estrogenic peptides under the tongue if required (to avoid secondary liver metabolites).
Like how you can target ERβ to avoid feminising estrogenic effects you can do the reverse and target ERα receptor at a higher activation ratio for a feminizing effect.
The other issue is that most people are using dumb / blunt regiments where normal hormones have a daily / weekly/ monthly rhythm.
Since the Obama era, the purpose of 'gender dysphoria' is to provide a legal disclaimer to big pharma, as they have already been massively sued and lost three or more times for their approach to hormone therapies.

There are two parts, one is the practical and the other is the ideological/political
Practical: If you can simply declare yourself to be a sex based on minimal gender expression then there are those that are guaranteed to do the wrong thing. As I mentioned, ~5% of men and women are fucked up and even with strict laws, guidelines, enforcement and punishment you can only halve that figure.
Political/ideological: This crosses into the safe space political ideologies that started with feminism, then more broadly to LGBT then to Queer and non-binary. If everyone is allowed into a safe space it loses its purpose as an ideological spawn point or actual safe space.
