The game I regret buying the most is Cyberpunk 2077 along with its DLC, Phantom Liberty (purchased at full price). After such a long time, although the current version has improved significantly since the game's release, I still think it is a half-finished product. Even now, the logic and interactions of NPCs are very stupid, and there are not the promised daily interaction details for every NPC. Additionally, the unique vehicles of the game world have not been made available to players—specifically, the flying car (which can only be experienced at the beginning by company employees) but cannot be obtained or experienced later in the game.

Recently it's Space Marine 2. I've played through 40 hours of it and completed the whole content. The gameplay loop does not justify the cost, but it is solid all around.

Same tbh. Cleared the campaign, all the coop stuff. Not interested in the pvp shit.

Monster Hunter Wilds and Idolmaster Starlight Season are on the same level of regret for me.

I agree with OP. It was one of the few times I bought something during release and I played the whole game and hardly enjoyed it. After several years of waiting.

i dont really care for achievements, but i do for "plats", so knowing ill never get the plat for it in my life, is a slight but ever-present discomfort. bought it on xone and had a blast though.

as for a game i regret buying entirely? pretty much any sports game, i had to buy several for a complete collection of dreamcast and wii u. and whatever exclusive sports games on other systems.

even as late as college i knew some guys who were still doing it, hooked on unpacks for years thinking each pack was a break even.

as for actual vidya james purchase regrets... i forgot the game's name on gamecube, demo (one of many demos on the disc) was pretty good and then the actual game it self was not any better.

Mighty Number 9, because I bought the game and didn't even get the game because the Kickstarter was awful and never gave me the game. Con Man took my money.

Sparking Zero, It just sits there while I stare at it. Waste of money

Dragonball FighterZ. I get it's probably a really good fighting game and I love the series and aesthetics, but it made me realize I just don't really like 2d fighters much. I'm way more casual and prefer Smash and it was $60 so that hurt lol. I basically button mashed my way through the story. Again I'm sure it's a great game for people who like fighting games tho!
