just image files...
Okay, here is the plugin you need
[
github.com]
Github Fourier Transform Plugin for GIMPGIMP is an opensource editor, like a freeware Photoshop. If you don't have it, you can get it at [
www.gimp.org]
https://www.gimp.org/After installing GIMP and then installing the plugin, you should be able to use it on the image files. I haven't used the Plugin, but it seems pretty simple, it'll apply a filter that will convert the halftone patterns to gradient greyscale. There may be settings which you can adjust until you like the result.
I'm sure there is a way to 'batch process' this procedure, but I do not know how to do this with GIMP as I use Photoshop. Basically, once you figure out the settings that work well for filtering one page (pick one that has a lot of detail as your test) you'll just need to go through the 'help' section or maybe ask an AI like Grok how to apply a batch process in GIMP. That way it will take all of your images, apply that filter to each of them, and then save the new copy so you don't have to do it individually.
