I do believe a distinction must be made though. Christianity is a successor to Moses' Judaism.
The only real Jews are the Messianic. After the loss of the Tabernacle with the destruction of the Second Temple, the Old Law could no longer be fulfilled as worship centered around it. The Talmud was a compromise, taking from pagan traditions to worship the LORD, but it had not come from Him nor His prophets.
It was only through the Christ, that the old Law was fulfilled. With his death and crucifixion, God no longer accepted sacrifice as seen when the Red Ribbon on the Scapegoat did not turn White in 30 C.E. And with the destruction of the Second Temple, it cemented the completion of God's Covenant, as a new one was made with Jesus.
Therefore, the term "Abrahamic religions" is a grift to leech legitimacy. There is only one path forwards, and that is with Jesus Christ. ☝️🤓
When I came in here to just make a few posts for upvote power or whatever, I did not expect to see anyone spouting truth. Not too fond of that CE shit but whatever, Matt Rosenberg uses it too. Mild irk.
But of course, the old covenant is still in place. It doesn't save because it never could, but the promises (like suffering but never being wiped out, prosperity in exchange for obedience, and blessings to those who bless you) are still in place. (Unfortunately, the Big Guy also promised survival to Ishmael, so
that kerfuffle will never be solved. That sucker's in place til the finish line.)
"Successor" is one way of putting it, but I always use the metaphor of Lock-On Technology. Sonic 3 & Knuckles are meant to be played together, each one needs the other.
