Not sure if I'm blind, stupid or both.

I have a smartphone with Android.
If I download something, it will either be saved in the download folder of internal storage or of the SD-Disk.
But I want neither. I prefer more folders in the download folder, and that the browser ask me in which folder the files should be saved.

I tried Google Chrome and Firefox. Both only have the option to save stuff directly in the download folder but not in any sub folders inside it.

Don't tell me I have to install a third party download manager to be able to do that? I'd prefer not to, as I don't need a download manager with over 9000 fancy functions ... I just want to select in which sub folders a new download should be saved.

Chrome did have a setting, and Firefox never did.

You might want these two,

[f-droid.org] https://f-droid.org/packages/xyz.myachin.saveto
[f-droid.org] https://f-droid.org/packages/xyz.myachin.downloader

Wow, so it is actually true that it is not possible to use sub folders in Chrome and Firefox. Super strange.
Thanks for the links! In my search for a download manager I've also found the f-droid stuff. How inconvenient.

All this time I thought I was the only one who thought the "downloads go to the Downloads folder and you are going to like it" idea stupid. I'm so glad to know I am not alone.

2 down, 9.999.999.998 people to go.
