My shitty 7 years old Chinese phone that I still fix from time to time. Can still watch anime and read manga on it. Can even game but I no longer game on phones.
Also any indestructible Nokia.
If you actually spend money on any phone released in 2025, you are dumb.

The Xiaomi Poco X7 is cheap for what it gives, and you could flash the OS so it stops phoning home to China.
One of the best value picks imo if you're looking for something modern. Anything above that price would be entering the "premium" category and cost way too much for their flagship features.

You double posted. Known as bumping, or TTT etc where people post just to keep their thread at the top of a page without adding anything. Most of the time you can edit your older post to add content or information.

Is changing the OS all that is required? I thought it was a chipset issue, at least in Huawei.

I think I am not allowed to use Huawei for work, and some restrictions on Xiaomi. Seems Xiaomi was accidentally banned recently. Though it makes people hesitant to buy one.

It'll work, but you may need to root for playstore app compatibility.

The biggest problem would be finding an OS build for it and unlocking the bootloader. They've been cracking down on FOSS because of the spy and adware removal.
