I'd recommend JHenTai by Chinese. Flutter, cross-platform, modern.

Seconding CDisplayEX, have been using it for over 10 years, never tried to look for anything else. Just got an Android tablet and found out the app version is also good. No need for anything else if you have local files, with little care for online reading.

I always just use the default lightweight image/pdf viewer that I happen to have installed.

To be honest I never understood the point of dedicated "reader" software, for manga or e-books in general. All I want is to view the file, anything else these software might do I'd just consider additional bloat that I'd rather not have.

I am aware of the necro, but i wanted to update my own thread with what I found based on your help-

Ifranview64 with plugins can do a great job and is actually amazing as an image viewer in general!

I went with that over mangameeya since Ifranview can be used for all personal photos as well!

However, I do have mangameeya since exctracting zips makes everything have a similar name and i wanted everything in a super folder, so I gave up and just use this for e-h.
