Originally thought this might belong in adult section but this is more of a technical thread then a horny one, so I decide to post it here.

This thread, like its name, is to discuss the best portable device for playing galgame(mainly), since plenty of degens i know of would prefer playing them/'jakeing it'(xd) on a handheld.

You could post abt ur own device and talk from your experience or talk about the ones that you think would be good in this particular usage based on the technical specs/other's exp.

You could suggest ur recommendation from multiple perspectives, like 'overall best', 'bang for the buck', 'goated display', 'budgetless beast' .etc, all perspectives are welcomed.

Note that this thread is based on the premise of the device have to be running the games locally, so no steamlink and simular services.

I'll go first ig, hope my thoughts could get some replies and other opinions.

I use a surface pro 11th gen business edition with an Intel ultra 268v as my galgame launcher(and some other horny stuff). As the beast with no budget.

Originally wanted to go for a 2nd hand/microsoft refurbrished surface pro 8gen but i gotta use the same device in commute, so i went straight for the newest. The consumer version uses an snapdragon chip that uses the arm architecture so i was worried abt that it most definately will have compartibility issues and performance hiccups expecially if i try to run the older 32bit galgames/others, so i went for the intel version instead.

Pros:
Great display and build quality(2880 x 1920 13 inch oled with 120hz refreshrate & hdr true black600)
Solid performance(i use the 268v version but i'm p sure the lower end chips arent rly that diffrent performance wise)
Touchscreen(gotta have it on a portable imo)
Great battery duration(for me i could do all nighters with this without plugging it in)

Cons:

THE PRICE.(srsly, this thing starts at 1499 for the lower end, with a 16g ram, 236v chip with lcd screen, and 256 GIGS OF SSD, WTF.)
The weight(still a bit heavy if u wanna simply hold it on one of ur hand at a bit less than a kilo)

Tldr, i recommend this device only if u dont have a budget cap/need a device for commute as well, i'd recommend a refurbished 8th/9th gen instead if u have a lower budget cap.

IK modern lenovo isn't exactly great but some of the IdeaPads with a decent cpu are pretty good as VN/media machines. Pretty sure a few of them are 2-in-1's or have tablet modes too and they're fairly cheap refurbished.
You can get laptops with ~16gb and fairly recent 7th gen and up intel or intel equivalent cpus refurbished for like $150-$300 now so i'm sure there's some more portable ones out there too. (i say all this and mostly just use a modded vita with patched games anyway)

Get yourself an E-Stim A-Box 2 & Oculus quest 2 and you're set.
