I miss college a lot more than high school. Partly because high school sucked for me, but moreso because college gave me space from my (in hindsight very controlling) parents.

Ah, that too. Also, since most people attending college have similar interests, it is easier for you to find like- minded individuals there than in high school.
I remember in high school I scoured an entire school from grade 10 to 12 and only found a handful otaku/gamers with the same passion as me (the rest are either your standard normie who only know Naruto or Bleach or a Pokemon Gamer who don't even know what is IV, EV and Nature is.....)

Lol I feel your pain, bro. In high school I had no otaku/gamer friends AT ALL (75% of my classmates were females and 25% - around 4 males). My class was in Cambridge acceleration program and everyone is kinda genius/very smart (no one was average) and everyday we had to study, experiment and present something new and had some exercises. But, high school was kinda my social and academy peak so I remembered it more vividly than university/college as I aced everything except sport. (school)

In university first and second year, I was the truant and became true rebel lol. The experience was very bad, though. Trying everything you can't when at school. So, kinda not missing anything. (college)

Later in postgraduate and doctoral, I peaked again lol. It kinda mirrored the manga I read years ago, all my classmates were females except for one dude and I aced everything again as the best graduate. Recently, I met a person who chatted online and always said like an elder that you will miss high school when you are in the fourth year. But I really don't understand the kind of high school in which there is no Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (I was in the key class at the beginning). There is only study and no freedom. Even though I played hooky for the most part, and I acknowledge that school is a prison for kids, I still miss it because those were far better and freer times, hell, I even had enough time to play sports as a hobby. University/college is basically a daycare for adults but you still have way less time and more responsibilities, and it didnt help that the whole reality thing became far more authoritarian during that time too, although it's far worse today than it was back then.

well, at least someone is legal aged in college, whereas they are underaged in high school.
