Everything that lives is designed to end. We are perpetually trapped in a never-ending spiral of life and death. Is this a curse? Or some kind of punishment? I often think about the god who blessed us with this cryptic puzzle...and wonder if we'll ever get the chance to kill him.

Yes, I believe.

One of God's gifts to us is 'FREE will'.

We're all free to do good or bad (or evil),
Free to follow or deny Him,
etc.

Yes, I do.
Even though I know it's not scientific.
Maybe it's just for solace of mind.

Not helping doesn't necessarily make one malevolent. It more like "not benevolent".
Preventing evil is not a simple thing. Good or evil is subjective and doing something depends on one's will. Modern God (post Christ) values free will so much He often just let things be.
Also, imagine what would happen if He just eliminates everyone He deemed could do something evil.

Religion is greater than everything.
Bigger than a general.
Bigger than the king.

Religion has many good things.
But religion also has many disadvantages.
Religion is sometimes meant to divide.It is to point out right and wrong.It is to determine people's right and wrong. If you are gay in a country with a religion that does not accept gays. Maybe you'll get killed because you're gay.

Religion is a matter of the mind or philosophy, just asking where is hell and heaven in a realistic way. Religion doesn't go well with science. Just the world of death is hard to explain.

Religion is better than law.This law is applicable only within the country.Get out of the country here.But these religious morals may be enforced in our minds all over the world.Some people are more afraid of breaking the religion than of breaking the law.Some say that God sees you all over the world. No matter which hole you crawl into, God sees everything, no matter what you do wrong or wrong, God sees it all. God is more than the law.

Religion is sometimes a selfish thing.
People who do good go to heaven, people who do evil go to hell.
People who do good do so because they want to go to heaven and be with God.
Doing good is called selfishness. Doing good because you want to go to heaven. Doing good because you want to be with God.
Do not do evil, do not do bad things, fear of going to hell.
Religion makes people selfish.
When we do good, we don't do it because we want to go to heaven or hell.
We believe that we do good things, we do not cause trouble to society, we pass on a livable society to others, we do not harm anyone, we do not cause trouble to anyone, and we do not harm ourselves.
We believe in goodness.
Sometimes we don't believe in heaven or hell. When we die, we don't know where we'll go.

You believe in goodness, you don't have to believe in God, you don't have to believe in religion, you don't have to believe in the world of the dead.If everyone in the world becomes a better person and does not harm each other, the world will be a better place even without religion.

No matter how we are born, we will always have suffering.Whether born as a king or a rich or poor person, no matter how we are born, there will always be things that cause us suffering.Some religions give us the wisdom to escape from that suffering.This suffering comes from being born as a human being or an animal.We are born into a life, what will happen is that there will be suffering no matter what. Whether we are born as a dog, a cat, or any living being, there will always be suffering inside.I told you how to escape from suffering.If you can do it, then don't be born as a human, don't be born as an animal, don't be born as anything.Some religions teach the method to escape suffering and not to be born again.

Sometimes religion is suitable for people who are born with a lot of suffering.People who are suffering a lot, this life is terrible, this life is full of sadness, this life is full of disappointment, sorrow, poverty, suffering.Some people suffer so much that they want to commit suicide.
Religion that will lead him to a place of goodness is like a teacher who helps him escape from suffering.Because he believes in religion.
I have seen people who have such suffering as eyesight.But they didn't do anything bad. I didn't cheat anyone, I didn't kill anyone, I didn't do anything illegal or cause trouble for anyone.Because they believe in religion in the part that creates goodness for them. Because they have faith.This faith may contradict science.

Learning a religion is like learning a philosophy or a principle of life.In fact, we should study or learn about every religion in the world.It's not like you learn just one religion and then you'll know all religions.Religion is truly a way of learning to gain wisdom and then wisdom comes out to extinguish suffering and bring about goodness for humanity and our world.This is also said by someone who has no religion.

Sometimes religion is like a mental hospital.People who go to temples, people who go to churches, people who go to mosques. To heal the mind.Sometimes smart people don't need to go to temples or churches.He said that he has a church and a temple in his own mind.Let's put it bluntly, it's like having your own mental hospital.

Being religious is a contradiction.This religion contradicts many natural realities.It is said that people are born from virgin women.Science is the study of tangible, concrete reality.I would say that God created the universe and created humans.If you don't believe that, then I'm stupid.There is no evidence.And when you become very intelligent, you will feel that religion is extremely contradictory.

**10 Principles for Critical Thinking Before Believing or Disbelieving:**

1. **Do not hastily believe something simply because it has been passed along by others.**
2. **Do not hastily believe something simply because it is considered an old, traditional teaching.**
3. **Do not hastily believe something based on rumors.**
4. **Do not hastily believe something based on claims from scriptures or texts.**
5. **Do not hastily believe something based on logic or perceived cause and effect.**
6. **Do not hastily believe something based on speculation or assumptions.**
7. **Do not hastily believe something based on apparent signs or symptoms.**
8. **Do not hastily believe something simply because it aligns with your own views or existing theories.**
9. **Do not hastily believe something simply because the speaker is deemed credible.**
10. **Do not hastily believe something simply because the speaker is your teacher.**

"Believe nothing except yourself." This expresses a form of extreme skepticism or self-reliance.

**Religion: A Complex Force**

* **Power:**
* Religion is often seen as more powerful than governments or leaders.
* It can have a stronger influence on people's behavior than laws.
* **Good and Bad:**
* Religion can promote good values and provide comfort.
* However, it can also lead to division, discrimination, and even violence.
* It can be used to judge people based on beliefs, such as sexuality.
* **Mind and Reality:**
* Religion deals with questions of faith and philosophy, like heaven and hell.
* These ideas can conflict with scientific explanations of the world.
* The concept of the afterlife is a complex and hard to explain subject.
* **Morality:**
* Religious morality can be a powerful force for good.
* Some people are more afraid of breaking religious rules than legal ones.
* Some believe that God sees all actions, everywhere.
* **Selfishness vs. True Goodness:**
* Some people follow religion out of fear of punishment or hope for reward.
* True goodness comes from wanting to do right, not from expecting something in return.
* You can be a good person without believing in any religion.
* A world where everyone chooses to be good to one another would be a better world, with or without religion.
* **Suffering and Escape:**
* Life is full of suffering, regardless of status.
* Some religions offer paths to overcome suffering.
* These paths may include the goal of ending the cycle of rebirth.
* Religion is a comfort to those who suffer greatly.
* **Faith and Reason:**
* Religious faith can provide strength and meaning.
* However, it can sometimes contradict scientific understanding.
* Studying different religions can provide wisdom and life principles.
* **Mental Support:**
* For some, religion is a source of mental and emotional healing.
* Others find inner peace through their own mindfulness.
* **Contradictions:**
* Religious beliefs can sometimes clash with observed reality.
* As knowledge increases, some people find religious doctrines to be contradictory.
* Belief in unprovable events, such as virgin birth, is a matter of faith, and contradicts provable science.

**Key Differences Between Religious and Non-Religious Individuals**

**1. Belief Systems and Worldviews:**

* **Religious Individuals:**
* Typically adhere to a structured belief system based on the doctrines of their religion.
* Often view the world through a religious lens, believing in a higher power, deities, or spiritual entities.
* May hold beliefs about an afterlife or reincarnation.
* **Non-Religious Individuals:**
* May adhere to belief systems based on reason, science, or philosophy.
* Tend to view the world through a rational and evidence-based perspective.
* May have varying perspectives on the meaning of life, such as focusing on present life or contributing to society.

**2. Moral and Ethical Frameworks:**

* **Religious Individuals:**
* Often derive their moral principles from religious teachings, emphasizing good deeds and avoiding sin.
* May follow specific ethical practices, such as observing religious rituals or engaging in charitable acts.
* **Non-Religious Individuals:**
* May base their moral principles on reason, empathy, or social values.
* May adhere to diverse ethical practices, such as respecting human rights, protecting the environment, or contributing to the well-being of others.

**3. Social and Cultural Practices:**

* **Religious Individuals:**
* May participate in religious activities, such as attending services, praying, or making offerings.
* May observe religious traditions and customs, such as specific dress codes, dietary restrictions, or holiday celebrations.
* **Non-Religious Individuals:**
* May engage in a wide range of social activities, such as volunteering, joining social groups, or participating in cultural events.
* May observe diverse traditions and customs, such as celebrating cultural festivals, engaging in artistic pursuits, or participating in sports.

**4. Search for Meaning and Purpose:**

* **Religious Individuals:**
* May seek meaning in life through a connection with a higher power or by achieving spiritual goals.
* May view life as having a purpose beyond the present, such as attaining heaven or escaping the cycle of rebirth.
* **Non-Religious Individuals:**
* May seek meaning in life through building strong relationships, contributing to society, or pursuing personal growth.
* May view life as having a purpose related to creating positive change in the world or living a fulfilling and meaningful life.

**Important Considerations:**

* These differences are general observations, and individual experiences may vary significantly.
* Both religious and non-religious individuals can possess strong moral and ethical values.
* It is unfair to judge individuals based solely on their religious beliefs or lack thereof.

I do believe in God. However, I choose not to adhere to His Word. It's as simple as that.

No point signing on for a religion that already hates me and views my very existence as sinful. If I had to believe in something supernatural though, maybe I'd go for Buddhism or Shinto, since they're pretty chill.
