You REALLY don't want a port of such fanservice-heavy game in 2025. You can be sure they are going to gut 99% of ecchi content if whatever madness took hold of them and compelled them to do it.

I never owned a PS2, so I have unfortunately never played Ar Tonelico 1 and 2, even though I'd been interested in the series from the beginning.

I owned a PS3, so I only played Ar Tonelico 3.

I always thought the 2D artwork of the girls looked better for Ar Tonelico 1 and 2.

Seems like Ar Tonelico 3 is the only one with 3D graphics for the battles, though? Also I think Ar Tonelico 3 might have been the only game with the dynamic music battle system (which is also a curse, because no CD soundtracks have the proper battle musics). And the take off clothes battle system is fun. At first the input seems ridiculous, stupid, and annoying, but as you learn various physical techniques to take off the clothes in more powerful and efficient ways, there's more than meets the eye to the requirement.

And AT3 got the worst score out of them all. That it has most amount of ecchi like taking off clothes probably played a big part in that, it's the same as Time and Eternity. I'm aware they're not 9/10 quality game but to downvote a game simply because it made western puritans uncomfortable is just being petty and silly.

Never played this series. But somehow I stumbled over it. (probably r34 pics and I was curious about the source)
Saw a gameplay video and it was a bit, uh, "unusual" I guess, since the character lose more and more clothing in battles. I'm not really into JRPGs anyway, so whatever.

But the music, though, the music! I really enjoyed the music. Beautiful. Apparently the language used for the songs was created by the game's director? God bless him.

And also bless the guy who translated the songs to English and uploaded the music videos (with subtitles) on YouTube.

Best JRPG of all time? Ehh, no.
Best Game OST of all time? Yes.

The first two games have better music than anything else I've ever heard. Ar Tonelico 3 though, had one good track and everything else about it was meh.

so much work went into these games from the music to the amount of lore just dont see dedication like that anymore honestly its sad the direction games have gone less heart put into it like they only care about a quick cash grab
