Hi all,

A while back I was messaged randomly asking for help answering plot related questions for a translation effort since it seemed like I knew english. I agreed, and I was sent translated lines from a loli yuri doujin and the relevant pages.

The questions were very specific though, such as "the background text says the character is too young to know her sexuality, explain what is meant by this" , and indirectly related questions such as "as a child the character is conditioned to find sex gross to "protect" them, explain what is meant by this".

I backed out because it felt like someone was trying to get dirt on me saying questionable things. I was told the questions would help "answer questions about the plot to people, and could indirectly help with a translation by confirming things make sense", but I don't understand how such questions could help with translating anything, since they're incredibly obvious and self evident given the 'genre'.

Honestly answering the questions was quite fun given their taboo nature, and I wouldn't mind doing more of them, but it just seems very suspicious to me. Is asking these kind of questions normal for such a translation? Do they have any genuine utility? Was I speaking to a fed?

What do you guys think?

Gotta say I'm surprised he's pervasive enough to be instantly recognizable, has he succesfully been making translations at least? I can see he's posted a couple of bounties, but I'm not sure how to check if he's actually uploaded anything, especially since they probably can't be uploaded on this site anyway.

I got mine on July 1 2024, it was for a chapter out of COMIC LO Vol.53 though.

I'm only able to see "the girl in my blurred vision" in those results though, which is why I figured they mustn't be openly avaliable or uploaded elsewhere, since one seemed much too few.

If I get a e-hentai link I always change it to e-hentai which helps in this case

Thanks! Looks like that fixed it. It was "Ohime-Sama Club" they asked me about, and it looks like they did upload a translation shortly after that.

...I guess it is legit and they just have a strange translation process? Makes me feel a lot better about answering so many questions, since despite getting worried about why I was being asked them, answering them was still quite entertaining.

Not sure about legit. They have uploaded english translations of that doujin in 2011 and 2014, and yet they asked me those very same questions about that doujin earlier this month. Maybe it's just their quirk.
