They were only Boss trophies though, that sell for 200?? I think. Even with the nerf I think the average staff sells for more.

Precisely for being only Boss trophies. That means that those players don't have high level (they probably have around your level). I think I used to get about 400C per staff, so with the nerf that pushes below 200C. (When I say on average I'm referring what you get per piece in a good amount of staffs, not referring to the "average quality" staffs)

Maybe it's easier to sell high ammount of trophies, rather than selling each staff individually?

Trophies are not worth the 1,000 credit investment to buy from the bazaar. It just isn't worth the risk because most of the stuff you get from Snowflake is crappy cotton stuff that sells for very, very low.

I still wonder why that person wanted to sell so many trophies when if they were a high level, they could've gotten equipment that sold for more than what selling the trophies to the bazaar was worth.
