When trying to see if I can found the original source, at least one website with a copy of the image proclaims this to be AI-generated (also aiimagedetector.org gives a 70% chance of the image being AI-generated):

This isn't necessarily an issue for me, but I'm wondering if you happen to have any insight into if this is the case or not? (does this mean that AI-generated images are allowed for banners?)

I personally am not a fan of AI-generated art, in particular of character designs as they clearly mimic the styles of artists that they were trained on (usually without artist consent). That being said, they are not specifically prohibited though I would prefer that such sources be used sparingly.

In this case I don't really have have an issue using an AI-generated background either.
