I'm curious what free streaming sites are out there. For About 7 years I used to use Animeshow.TV then they died spring of 2023. I switched to Animeseries.so and they were better than the animeshow...The same style homepage showing a weeks worth of new uploads with newest first, but with better info pages for each show and a much more VAST library of old material...They were better, but they vanished in early November.
Since then I briefly was using 3taku (the download link back-end that drove downloads for the other 2 sites), but it hasn't updated in a few weeks...
So now I'm stuck with Nyaa.land torrents. They tend to have things first, but lack of info on when the series start and end (and genre and plot synopsis), search pages that don't update when the front page does, multiple versions of the same episode, differing episode naming and numbering schemes (it's annoying to do lookup wikis and do math to figure out if season 2 episode 9 is the same thing as episode 33 because one half the uploaders want to roll separate seasons together, or search under both Japanese and English names to find what I want because there is no standards) and difficulty of figuring out what stuff on the home page is new or old has been confusing and annoying the hell out of me.
I need to find a good equivalent of animeseries.so before the season transition happens or I'm going to drive myself batty dealing with Nyaa.

I usually use "Bilibili". Initially, it was very convenient, but after 2018, due to domestic censorship, it was forced to cut some scenes and take down many anime. So now I have switched to “Jcomic(It's called Jiong Ciyuan in Chinese)” and "Bahamut Anime Crazy(it seemed to be translated like this.)". They still have a wide range of anime and fast update times, and they don’t require a membership. That’s why I particularly enjoy using them to watch anime.

Does YouTube count? Also I'm not sure but I think Google Play or whatever has partially merged with YouTube, because recently I noticed that while logged in on YouTube, I can access a lot of my purchased digital movies.

YouTube TV (note this is paid subscription and different from YouTube itself)

Xbox Video (now possibly merged with Microsoft Movies & TV on PC?) used to have free Anime Months once or twice a year long ago, so I may still have some small free anime library there

Vudu (now dead and merged into stupid Fandango Now, this is the last bastion of my UltraViolet titles)

Anime Network (or did that merge into other things like HiDive, never understood it)

Hentai Websites (please post some for the rest of us to use)

Torrents from any public tracker, preferably Nyaa. Streaming is the worst way to watch anything.

Sounds like user error if you can't figure out how to access torrent trackers with healthy seed swarms.

The only anime streaming site I've used was twist.moe, but that's not around anymore.
If I needed to stream for some reason, I'd use the [github.com] FMHY list and pick one that was rated highly at that time.

I know you can't resist being a smartass contrarian to every post friendo, but no, thats not how that works, trust my 25 years of flying the jolly roger. torrents do die, by the millions, especially niche stuff that no longer has any users willing to seed. Most users like you won't notice, since you're only downloading the latest top 10[0] lists.

You should use Crunchyrolls or Youtube for anime streaming.

I'm interested in peertube instances. The only problem is finding users wiling to stream.

In the past, I used to follow news about interesting anime, then download them from Nyaa to save, and stream them through Jellyfin to watch whenever I wanted.
But nowadays, I don't follow anime as frequently as before, so I bought a Bilibili premium subscription and just watch it when I have free time.
