Microsoft will continue security for windows 10 now but... you have to enable all the new spyware and enroll your computer with the online program syncing all your settings, details and one drive.

Like a lot of people, I just installed the win 10 LTSC IoT version from you know who. Can say it's an absolute dream: all the enterprise features, none of the cortana-candycrush bullshit, and security patches until 2032, which should match the life of my current system.

BTW, you can trivially add the windows store back to the LTSC versions, it's just a powershell command. I used it for adding HEVC and AV1 codec support.

I just got the notification a few days ago. Microsoft is that damn adamant in wanting people to upgrade despite the fact that 11 is bloated up the wazoo with spyware. They could at least given 10 at least a few more years before bowing out. The thing is not everyone can afford or use Linux. What to do?

Hmm windows 11 is totally bloated up, and they install some kind of spyware apps to monitor your computer 24/7. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

It's better to stay to windows 10 for as long as possible. Even now, I'm still using my old, trusted windows 7 with everything modified (because there is no support anymore). It's been more than 10 years. Some newer apps I can't use anymore. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
