As a kid I loved sports. Playing sports, watching sports, sports video games. I still enjoy exercising, but luckily I've grown out of spectator sports. I understand it as kids' entertainment, but adult males getting personally invested in some billionaires kicking around a rubber ball is sad.
Is no one going to mention that shitty Olympics opening ceremony? France, WTF? You know it was bad when muzzies, atheists and French people were calling it awful and offensive to Christians and pretty much everyone who saw it.
I watched most of it expecting something really good but it was beyond lame and woke. It's being called the worst opening ceremonies in history. People are boycotting the games. The ceremony had nothing to do with sports, everything to do with Satan, trannies, sexuality, scary death shit, the Revelations pale horse rider, etc.

It's been dubbed the Ozempics. The silver metal horse and rider on the Seine reminded me of the Judas Priest Painkiller album cover. There was even a metal band. Cool but it had no place with athletes competing in sports. The entire thing should've been Celine Dion singing that one song on the Eiffel Tower with the laser lights show. I don't care for her but man, she brought it home with that song after battling stiff person syndrome.

I didn't even notice the balls hanging out and I usually can spot that pretty fast. Porn-y stuff is for the internet if you're searching for that kind of thing but it doesn't belong where little kids can see it. At first I couldn't figure out if the tranny walking the runway had a weird jaw problem but it was a beard. Why dress like a woman if you have thick facial hair? I don't get this newfag trans shit at all.
The metal band playing on the side of the building was Gojira and they're French. At first I thought it was Metallica and was thinking why the fuck would those assholes be there? They're American. Then I noticed it wasn't them and the dudes were singing in French. Again it was cool but very odd. The ceremony should've played up the can-can a lot more and art and many other things that are French! Such a missed opportunity. I would've even tolerated seeing a mime and I hate mimes.
Also, I couldn't figure out what Lady Gaga was doing there. She's of Italian descent. She said "Although I am not a French artist, I have always felt a very special connection with French people and singing French music." Well then they should've gotten Carrie Bradshaw to read from her Sex and the City book since it was a hit in France back in the day.

I didn't watch it, in fact I didn't even know there were Olympics going on in Paris because everything in your post is exactly what I would expect to see if I chose to spend my time watching the opening ceremony of the Olympics.
never cared much about competitive sports, but i do like to swim. i saw the opening ceremony stuff with parents and grandparents - my grandparents didn't openly complain about any of it which sort of surprised me. Maybe it's because the company they were entertaining wasn't complaining about it.
I thought it was much more just a stupid waste of money much more than i cared about "wokeness." But I did register that it did appear to be present, in that I wondered quite a bit if they were doing it on purpose. I think they were.
I don't like "proTECt tHe ChILdReN!" arguments people use against it, kids know if it looks weird to them or if they are okay with it. So I won't talk about it from that angle. I don't even like kids. I just think the whole thing was stupid.
What annoyed me most was, having been to Paris, I know the place feels like the worst place in France to live. Noisy and unfriendly in equal measure. I didn't appreciate the constructed view of it that I was being shown. Someone else at the party where my grandparents and parents were watching the ceremony said it made her want to visit Paris again. My dad and I simultaneously shook our heads and this person asked why not - it turns out we had most of the same reasons for hating the place.
I would have liked if they used the opportunity to show some of the smaller okay parts of Paris that never get talked about normally, that people don't usually associate with Paris but which it nonetheless actually has. But what they showed felt kind of like a non-satirical version of the Paris shown in "Team America: World Police" where they have various major monuments and historical places in the city on the same city block.
I'd go almost anywhere else in France before choosing to go back to Paris.
Also the us newscasters (and peyton manning for some reason) talking over the thing the whole time was annoying as fuck, like Fred Willard's character in "Best in Show" talking about basketball during a dog show. Their tendency to ignore countries' boats going past in favour of talking about team USA the whole time was also kind of annoying.

edit for accuracy: Two boxers failed to meet the strict IBA gender eligibility tests but were allowed to compete against women because France wanted to be the most stunning and brave Olympics.
The problem that experts pointed out that you juice like hell for 18 months suppressing natural testosterone for six-12 months, then meet some of the gender eligibility criteria. The criteria were previously decided by the IBA for like 70 years, but for the Paris Olympics they made the Paris Boxing Unit to change the standards. There are some Mr Olympia contestants that meet the blood work requirements to complete as female. Athletes are allowed to deny longer duration testing on privacy grounds.
IOCs new framework put the burden of deciding regulations on the professional associations, however for the Paris olympics they decided they can just make new professional associations as needed.

International Olympic Committee guidelines require transgender women to have transitioned before the age of 12 to be eligible for the women’s category, to prevent any potential biological advantage from male puberty.
Meanwhile, anti-trans lobbies are trying to make it illegal in every country for you to do that. Not the IOC's fault if you get shut out.
If even one cis child goes through the wrong puberty, that's a tragedy the world will never recover from.
If we can force a million trans children to do it? We'll laugh, physically attack them, talk down to them, tell them they aren't really trans, and then try to make the rest of their lives a living hell too.

I had a feeling about that, or we'd all be hearing about it constantly. I doubt they'd just let them be without outing. But I hadn't looked into it to be sure.
