Do a figure eight or an hourglass, depending on what figure proportions you want. 1:1:2 vs 2:1:2.

I'm a little surprised no one mentioned how god awful the feet look. Anyway, I'll get a better version up later today.
Btw, thanks Hybrid for the tip about the eyes. That definitely made a difference.

You are welcome. I've got an entire 8 volumes series about manga drawing, there's a lot of usefull info in these books. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) And of course the feet look awful, but that's nothing you could just learn in a day (drawing decent hands and feet takes quite some time to learn...)

Hands are probably my favorite thing to draw. Feet, though.
Well, feet are just terrible, anyway.

I once had a girl tell me I had pretty feet. True story.

You can tell a lot about a person by how their hands look.

Like telling that it's really a man. Can be very useful to know.

Well, I don't think it's getting much better than this. It's still not great, but it's an improvement I think. So, I guess that'll be my last pose for the competition.

Yeah, it's hard to beat that cute factor. And it's a hell of a lot faster.

I see an improvement, well done, keep praticing a lot and you might be a master in 7 years. (Yeah, learning how to draw takes an awful lot of time... I for example have 4 and a half years of experience and I still suck at it...)

I've been drawing as a hobby for... pfff... fifteen-ish years with my current style, problem is, my hands are shaky, so I need to develop something different that benefits from gross, inaccurate lines.

Yeah, if you like to be good at it you really have to attend some sort of class or teach yourself (that's what I've been doing for over 4 years). You couldn't image what sucky stuff I drew the first two years, just to improve... pillars, balls (no not what you think (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ), oh and I started by drawing pages full only faces (that's actually the only thing I drew in my first year... frontal faces, and more frontal faces and more frontal faces...) I've never been able to draw people or animals really. I can draw mechanical things, and schematics really well,, just not people, and especially not anime styled people.

I used to feel the same way, but drawing people isn't always that bad. Start thinking about the layout of the human body like a schematic, it may get easier. Plus, practice helps.

I fail to see the problem in this.

Simply draw a robot that looks exactly like an anime styled person.

QUOTE I don't believe in stealing art.
I didn't mean to accuse you. Sorry about that. As for the late response, I stopped reading this thread a while ago since it's full of spam.
