So uh, is anyone going to change the name of the Real Porn forum to Cosplay & Asian Porn?

I guess even western porn of asian women is allowed? Seems counter-intuitive.

Still needs to be screened manually. Those keywords aren't specific to real porn, and even restricting to misc, it would kill off the virtual stuff.

Unless done by a bad tagger those three are supposed to be specific to real porn and real porn only. A quick sweep of each +3d (the only other porn in misc, with deep tag searching just in case) to remove the bad tags should work.

If there was a wipe of misc of the three colours equivalent of a search without deep tag searching it would hit only real porn except for these four galleries:

If the site was facing technical issues due to the large amount of 'Real Porn', then cool bean on deleting it. It's really a drawn-content centered board anyway. My questions is though-Why leave 'Asian Porn' up?

Browsing through the forum, I don't really see any explanation for that. I see people complaining about reams of low-quality Western porn, but honestly 90% of the Asian stuff is just terrible. Not that I don't like Asian girls, I do, but the quality of the material is bad. If it's non-Japanese it's very ugly Thai/Chinese/Indochina girls. If it's Japanese then you get cuter girls, but you also get the standard 40-50 pic gallery where it changes theme every 4 pics and it's always more of a 'misc' set then a real Western style set. Add to the fact that there are also quite a few dedicated Asian girl sites already.

It just seems if you're going to state the site is about drawn content, and that too many 'Real Porn' sets are incomplete/have ugly chicks, then keeping Asian porn stuff doesn't make a lot of sense.

I think that there was a lot more Real Porn uploaded than Assian Porn, so it was much bigger nuisance. Possibly if there is a lot of Asian Porn uploaded in the future, it'll go away as well. Don't look for consistence, it's life.

Oh, thank christ. I was so fucking tired of having to wade through a sea of bad porn to get at doujinshi. And before anyone tells me I could have switched the Misc flag off, I have sometimes found some interesting artbooks in that category.

No. There is no grandfather clause in the rules on this site. I've had this argument once before. In the RoE, there is no mention of a grandfather clause. If it says something is not allowed, it's not allowed. Real porn is not allowed on this site. There is no "grandfather rule", and if you believe there is, then it's going to suck for you when your galleries get deleted. In fact, the last time I had this argument, I won it soundly. The rules are the rules. If there was an exception, there would be a notation about it.

It's to prevent ppl from abusing it. Post gallery, delete before expunge, profit from gp.

Go ahead sport. This isn't my site, so I frankly don't control what choices get made. I'm not here to argue 'fair or unfair'. It's a 'hentai' themed site, so if folks want to keep it to drawn material, makes sense. Especially if loads of 'Real Porn' was negatively affecting the site technically. If it was just a matter of choice, well, I think it will cost the board a decent amount of eyes, but that might not be needed.

I didn't even know this site had a forum, I only wandered in here recently. I recently checked several threads about the 'Porn Purge', and as I stated the situation seemed more discussed behind-the-scenes with a small group of posters, and I could find no explanation as to why 'Asian Porn' was left up.

I'll go slow for you, so you can knock down my 'logical progression'

-From what I can tell, most folks thought this board should be drawn-content centered. They complained that there was too much 'clutter' to cut through. 'Real Porn' complaints centered on 'Ugly girls', 'low quality porn', 'incomplete sets', and the fact that 'you can get that everywhere'. There are legit points in there.

-Now, let's look at the 'Asian Porn' that get's posted. If it's a non-Japanese content provider (Asians4u, Seeasians, etc.), it's most often bottom-barrel material featuring highly unattractive models. Good luck finding anything in there that stacks up to say a Twistys or FTV. Now, if 'ugly girls' was a reason to remove 'Real Porn', that should go double for Z-Grade Thai/Filipino junkies.

-Now, if it's Japanese content, it's often of a much higher technical quality (Graphis, X-city, etc.) Often with attractive Gravure models. However, the thing about Japanese photo sets (or more specifically what get's shared here) is that they aren't what we would call 'full sets'. 99% of the time you'll get a 40-50 pic set where the model changes theme every few shots. Three of four pics in a kimono, then suddenly four shots in a pool, then three or four in a shower, etc. If anything, the bulk of Japanese sets are more like 'misc. compilation' collections. You know, what people were complaining about 'Real Porn'. Also, there are many Asian/Gravure image boards out there. You know, that other thing people were complaining about.

As I said earlier, this ain't my sandbox. I don't set the rules. I just asked a simple question, if there's a thread that explains why 'Asian Porn' was OK'd even though it has all the minuses given for axing 'Real Porn', just point me to it. Conversely, if 'Asian Porn' was left up because for whatever reason it suited the tastes of a small group of posters who call the shots and there's really no rhyme or reason as to what's in or out, just say so. The board is awesome either way for letting folks 'preview' manga/CG's without having to download reams of content off torrent sites. But don't give out some snotty, high-hand BS that doesn't even answer the question.

That's not why, it's because I deleted all of my galleries one day, some 600+ galleries, which pissed off tenboro to no end, so to prevent anyone from rage deleting all of the content they posted again a limit was imposed.

cosplay and asian only does not seem right where are the hot white girls at. A sub folder for real porn or misc would of made more since.
