Is the 40-50 grind really that much for some people? Yeah, each stint takes an hour or so, but you have 6 months to make it happen.

The grind from Tower 40 to 50 itself isn't necessarily bad, especially since the number of floors was just halved. Clearing from Tower 40 to 50 is still equally difficult though (perhaps as it should be) and it requires gearing up. Whereas pretty much anyone using whatever fighting style can clear to Tower 40 without trouble.

I don't think anyone is complaining about the amount of work it takes to reach Tower Floor 50. We just don't want to have to do it every 6 months. Some people lead very busy lives. We have other things to do most of the time, and we don't want to be stuck into a schedule to keep playing the same game all our lives when we want to take a break from it.

Ideally, we should be able to take an indefinite break from the game for as long as we want, and come back in the same state as we were when we left. Not having missed out on something permanently miss-able. Bonus stats are permanently miss-able relative to other players (albeit extremely tiny). The seasonal damage bonus to persistent is more significant, and that's sort of miss-able and sort of not.

Not getting peerless vouchers or credits is not really miss-able, since if you don't play, you just don't get stuff, as expected.

The increased stamina drain on Isekai doesn't help leveling either. At 300+ I don't think you can even run all the arenas sustainably at normal (60 and below) stamina, not to mention great (60+) where you get an EXP bonus has even MORE drain. And then some new players are told to start with Isekai, understandably miss the riddles and get additional drain, to the point it's ridiculous. Is this really necessary?

I don't quite understand. Today is November 1st, but my Isekai hasn't reset. Does it take several days to transfer credits and Soulbound Items to Persistent?

30-40 is already a bit of a grind. But I may try up to 50 next time for the Peerless voucher and thanks to the Tower battles being cut in half.
