QUOTE(nasu @ Mar 27 2024, 17:09) Yep, this works. Previously posted examples don't. A bit annoying somewhat, to have to manually prefix "special" each time you want the full category, but well ... a prompt saying so in the page, for those who don't know/remember isn't out of the question, I hope ?Oh, it's in the field box! Sorry. Tenboro, I used Nasu's limks without startin from a clean tracker page, so didn't see it. This post has been edited by mundomuñeca: Mar 27 2024, 21:27

The new changes are great!
Some more suggestions: - add readout for number of pages (I really am a lazy bum when it comes to checking 100+ page galleries) - support or search if not too expensive. Could just do a comma-separated in the entry field.
Late addition - like with namespaced being completed (e.g. c:test is turned into character:test), have s: also be converted to special: upon searching

Since it was requested that tags can be searched across multiple namespaces, we can't really have it both ways. The tag/ns input does have "tag, tagid, or special:namespace" as placeholder text so that should suffice? edit: ninjad This post has been edited by nasu: Mar 27 2024, 21:23

I used your links instead of starting from fresh tracker, so I couldn't see the input box prompt, since it already contained the query term. It suffice, indeed.

how do we use this tool to track more than one tag?
I tried to put l:chinese l:translated in the searching box but it didn't work.

It's not possible to perform this type of search atm.

A revived tag filter was added to the tagtracker. This allows you to only show tags that were previously killed then brought back to life.
For now it will only show revived tags since yesterday, when it was added to the tallying logic.

Another cool addition!
And another (?cool?) suggestion: A filter for tags that have downvotes, as to filter for "contested" tags, i.e. tags that have both upvotes and downvotes but are neither solid border nor killed.

Hmm. Well, if people feel like it would be useful, it should be fairly trivial to add it, though it would probably need some refinements as for what would be considered "contested". If a 2 MP rando downvotes a tag, that doesn't really mean that it is being seriously questioned, so it would need to be "has at least 10 MP or a veto both in favor or against" or something along those lines. Though "are neither solid borders nor killed" wouldn't need to be a part of the definition for something like that, since you can use the strength filters for that, by filtering by weak or active only.

True, I was only thinking that that's the combination of filter's I'd use it with. After thinking about it again, maybe instead you could do a readout for how many total +MP and -MP a tag has received? Or alternatively (because that may give away who voted on a tag to some degree if you know people's MP), how many user voted a tag up / down? Something like this: (IMG:[ i.imgur.com] https://i.imgur.com/aCU9naJ.png)

That's a bit trickier since it would require a database change, and seeing how long the database stalled modifying this table I don't think I'll be doing another one.

A couple more minor QoL changes: - You can now use :<namespace> as a shorthand instead of special:namespace. For example, you can now use :female to search all tags in the female namespace. - You can now track several tags or namespaces at the same time. For example, this track will show all tags in the male namespace or the tags f:big breasts and f:sole female. Each tag/namespace must be separated with a comma.
