As part of the tagging revamp, a new tag tracking tool has been developed, and is now live.

It can be found here: https://repo.e-hentai.org/tools/tagtrack

The tag tracker allows you to browse tags sorted by when they were first placed (or last revived) on a gallery, including weak and downvoted/vetoed tags. This should make it significantly easier to perform various vigilante tasks, such as keeping a lookout for bad tagging, or assisting in making weak tags strong.

It has a number of filtering options that should be mostly self-explanatory, allowing you to filter by the power of the tags and/or view a subset of the tags themselves. For example, you can show all tagging actions on the single tag female:big breasts, or all tagging actions for the entire female namespace.

Note that it is limited to tags started in the last 30 days or so.

Let me know if you encounter any problems with this tool.

2024-03-27

- Added a toggle to exclude expunged galleries

- Added a category readout

- Searching for a tag without a namespace now looks it up in all namespaces

- Searching for all tags in a namespace is now done with the "special:" prefix (like special:character)

- Tweaked the weak/active/etc labels a bit with some opacity tweaks and light coloring

- Any existing upvote or downvote you have on a particular tag is now indicated with green and red, respectively

2024-04-02

- Added a "revived tags" filter that will show tags that were previous killed and then brought back to life. (It has to be dead for at least five minutes to count as a "revival").

- You can now use :<namespace> as a shorthand instead of special:namespace. For example, you can now use :female to search all tags in the female namespace.

- You can now track several tags or namespaces at the same time. For example, this track will show all tags in the male namespace or the tags f:big breasts and f:sole female. Each tag/namespace must be separated with a comma.

This is amazing.

To my surprise, searching for one tag without a namespace is not possible. I.e. I can search for "f:big breasts" and "m:big breasts", but searching just "big breasts" gives no results. Is this intentional?

A checkbox to exclude expunged galleries would be cool.

The option to exclude some categories would also be cool, or at least showing the gallery's category in the list (e.g. I hardly ever feel like checking if tags in a huge ass imageset are correct).

Originally it required you to provide the numeric tagid, so it's intentional, but it wouldn't be too much of a hassle to enable it. Probably would have to add a prefix for searching namespaces is all.

We can probably do that.

A selector wouldn't play well with the planned changes to categories, but I can probably add a readout for it.

Excellent tool, very good one to track specific tags and check if good/bad tagging.

Would it be possible to make the "active" category darker? I've trouble with colour between weak and active. Or maybe make weak in italic.

FWIW, if you suspect someone is on a mistagging rampage, please contact a tag checker to look into the issue. Publicly the tracker does not reveal who started the tag, but this can be checked internally.

Preferrably I want active tags to be in a slightly lighter shade than solid/enforced tags. Making it darker probably ruins that.

Searching for a namespace without a tag doesnt seem to work. It always gives the error message that there's no tag found (i.e. the namespace is misinterpreted as a tagname)

Are you typing the full namespace? (i.e. female, male, mixed, etc.) or the short version? Only the full version works.

Just tested them all and they work, do you have the url from your search?

This is a gallery site so that won't happen

Some tweaks by popular demand:

- Added a toggle to exclude expunged galleries

- Added a category readout

- Searching for a tag without a namespace now looks it up in all namespaces

- Searching for all tags in a namespace is now done with the "special:" prefix (like special:character)

- Tweaked the weak/active/etc labels a bit with some opacity tweaks and light coloring

Awesome tool, very helpful.

Would it be possible to somehow highlight/mark what tags you voted on or to search/exclude tags you voted on? IF not, it's OK since Repo Tag List can do similar job.

Searching would be overly expensive, but marking them is easy enough, and a good idea. It should now be marking your existing upvotes and downvotes in green and red, respectively.

Note that due to caching, it can take up to a minute before tags show up and the state of a tag changes on the tracker (that is, if it changes between downed/weak/active/strong), but the indicator for whether you tagged it or not should update immediately.
