A rough sketch I drew on the subject of "school bags"...I believe it was.
Where did the gun idea come from? Is there a gun packed in the school bag in my head?

The composition was difficult, so I used a digital drawing doll to draw it.
That was convenient, but it was a pain to match the deformation I wanted to draw with the dimensions of the details.
I still want to be able to draw various angles on my own.


ランドセルというお題で描いたラフ…だったはず。
銃の発想はどこから出てきたんだ。私の頭の中のランドセルには銃が詰まっているんだろうか。

構図が難しかったのでデジタルデッサン人形を使って描きました。
あれは便利だけど、私が描きたいデフォルメと細部の寸法を合わせるのが面倒です。
やはり自力で色んな角度の絵を描けるようになりたいですね。

mukenaさんのキャラのポージングはかなり上手と思う。(素人の意見だけど)
体の各部の角度をよく選んで、体のラインもよく描いただから、キャラが生きてるように見える。

I did not have that idea.
Even though it is a rough sketch, the fact that I draw a sketch that has room for other interpretations means that I am still inexperienced.
I must be diligent.

ラフとはいえ、別の解釈の余地がある画を描いてしまうということは、まだまだ未熟ですね。
精進せねば。

mukenaさんのキャラのポージングはかなり上手と思う。(素人の意見だけど)

I studied and practiced a lot on the human body, so I am confident in a frontal view.
However, it is still difficult to compose a drawing viewed from above or below, or a pose with a large leaning body....
I will have to work hard on these as well.

でも上や下から観た構図や、大きく体を傾けたポーズはまだまだ難しい…。

These 3 sketches were drawn from left to right respectively, with the subject of mother characters in the mortal realm, son characters in the celestial realm, and daughter characters in the infernal realm.

I drew them in such a hurry that I regret that they are a bit neglected... Maybe I should remake them?


それぞれ人の世界にいる母キャラクター、天界にいる息子キャラクター、
魔界にいる娘キャラクター、というお題で描いた3枚。

急いで描いたのでちょっとおざなりになってしまってます…リメイクしようかな?

Back then, when I saw a Loli with a gun, I used to think about ''Gunslinger Girl''.

Now, when I see a Loli with a gun, I always think about ''Blue Archive''. 

Also, I feel what you mean, Mukena-san. That's one tough angle and view, but the image's dynamism looks fun to draw.

Now, when I see a Loli with a gun, I always think about ''Blue Archive''.

Gunslinger Girl is a nostalgic name. I have never seen the work, but I know it in bits and pieces.

Yes! The lively scenes are fun to draw! So I would like to try my best to draw more angles and poses!

This is a painting I did under the subject of remaking a painting drawn by someone else.
I also painted the background, but the clouds are difficult to draw...or rather the background is difficult to draw.
I am still inexperienced in drawing objects other than people.


他の人が描いた絵をリメイクする、というお題で描いたもの。
背景も描いてみましたが、雲が難しい…というか背景が難しい。
人以外の対象を描くのはまだまだ未熟です。

槍を武器に扱う年若い見習い女戦士、というお題で描いたものです。
ポーズや大まかな服装の指定があったのでその通りに描きました。
鎧やフリルに苦戦したのを覚えています。

結構よく描けたかなと思っているんですが…。

槍を武器に扱う年若い見習い女戦士、というお題で描いたものです。
ポーズや大まかな服装の指定があったのでその通りに描きました。
鎧やフリルに苦戦したのを覚えています。

結構よく描けたかなと思っているんですが…。

Yup! That's one good illustration.

Also, this kind of reminds me of the MMO I'm playing, ''Grand Chase'' from 2009.

It's detailed and cute, but I think the angle for the armor of her left elbow is wrong if that piece on top is meant for the outside of the elbow? (It looks like it's meant for that based on how it's shaped.) You'll probably realize if you try to perform that pose yourself...

I had just recently looked at GrandChase.
Indeed, the atmosphere and clothing of the illustrations may be similar.

And indeed, as you pointed out, with the arm in this condition, the elbow is just facing forward to the composition, so this elbow armor had to be facing forward as well.
I checked the draft and the elbow was properly facing outward. I must have misunderstood something when I drew the armor and drew it in the wrong direction...

As a complete aside, while experimenting with this pose myself, I was able to rotate the wrist and elbow separately.

And indeed, as you pointed out, with the arm in this condition, the elbow is just facing forward to the composition, so this elbow armor had to be facing forward as well.

I think it's also interesting that unless a person works with the human body (like in medicine) or studies it (like you have for drawing) most people probably don't have a really good idea of how various parts of the body (including underlying muscles) move in relation to each other and look like from different angles.

Like a person's hand can independently rotate 180 degrees (for example, palm up to palm down) but the nature of the elbow joint means it relies on the shoulder joint to rotate.

I actually had no reason to think about these things until I looked at your pictures and thought about them.

Yes, it is better to be able to draw the human body and background as well as the good 'lies' that are unique to drawing.
When drawing the human body, I remembered that my body is the closest reference material I have.

It is still good to publish a drawing and have someone look at it. There are things I notice from it. There is something to learn.
I need the grave digging to go deeper (and I need to draw something in progress).

Painted on the subject of deformed dragons for use in social game.
It was my first time to draw a dragon properly, but I think I did a pretty cool job.
It is fun to draw a painting with strong deformation.


ソーシャルゲーム向けのデフォルメされたドラゴンというお題で描いたもの。
ドラゴンをきちんと描くのは初めてだったのですが、なかなかかっこよく描けたかなと思っています。
デフォルメの強い絵は描いていて楽しいです。

A girl from the near future, who has lost one arm, but since a human-sized prosthetic arm is too expensive, she is equipped with a giant robot arm instead.
The name 『カイナ』"Kaina" means arm.

I am not good at designing mechas, but I still enjoy designing them.

代わりに巨大ロボットの腕を装備している、という設定。
カイナ、という名前は腕の意味です。

I tried to find a drawing of the back side and unexpectedly found some, but nothing that could be used as a reference for the drawing.
Please give me a little time to draw some of them.

I don't know if this will help you, but I'll leave a rough draft of my previous drawings.




I am not good at simplifying the drawing, so I drew only the outline of the torso without the rib bones, and the waist is drawn as it is with the pelvic bones. The limbs are just lines instead of bones (or just mark the joints).
Then I draw the muscles on top of the bones, and finally I draw a rough sketch of the clothes, hair, and face.
The drawing is done in a surprisingly loose and careless method.

If there is anything else you want to know, please feel free to ask.

背中側を描いた絵を探してみたところ、思いの外見つかりましたが、デッサンの参考に
なりそうなものはありませんでした。
ちょっといくつか描いてみるので少しお時間をください。

参考になるかわかりませんが、今までの絵の下描きを置いておきます。

私は簡略化して描く、というのが苦手で、胴体は肋骨の骨を省いた輪郭だけを描き、腰は骨盤の骨を
そのまま描いています。手足は骨代わりのただの線(あるいは関節部分に印をつけるだけ)です。
その次に骨の上から筋肉を描いていき、最後に服や髪、顔を描いてラフとしています。
意外といい加減に描いています。

もし他に知りたいことがあったら遠慮なくどうぞ。
一緒に研鑽しましょう!
