my helm luck has been awful so I've been stuck using a rented level 82 helm for quite a while now. probably won't be able to use it until tomorrow but at least then I'll be able to return my old one. thanks again!

I've also been looking at mage builds and am at a complete loss for what I'd want to be doing. none of my cloth armor is up to par so it'll probably be a while before I can seriously run it. Help/advice would be appreciated!

The general advice is that you should run a mage until 310 I think, what mage build do you want?
Fire/Ice/Wind/Electric mage look for Elementalist and Curse-weaver.
Holy/Dark look for Heimdall/Fenrir and Hallowed/Demonic.
Destruction suffix is the best general suffix, it just buffs magic damage.

I'd probably go for ice since it seems like you can simply choose what you like for the most part, but RNG will probably end up deciding that for me. Electric would be my second choice but since they said ice/fire is easier to build I'll probably stick with those.
