I really would rather you hadn't done that, polls are so easily swayed by a bunch of lurkers compared to the actual voting power we need to expunge.

Apparently it didn't get through, but this isn't a simple majority decision. It seems that there is a fair level of consensus, but the poll itself is pointless.

Maybe we could leave a comment in the porn galleries saying something like "All the non-asian real porn have been forbidden. Please stop posting them and help us to expunge them" to get some support from lurkers and speed up things.

I've seen some non-nude Asian galleries tagged as realporn. Are we getting rid of that, too, or not? I'll assume that was Shadow Weaver by the power of the tag (not sure, though).

And I've already seen a low powered person trying to vote down the realporn tag on some misc real porn galleries. And who the hell is giving all of them 5 star ratings?

Yes, but maybe doing this we can discourage them from uploading new galleries because they'll know that will be pointless.

Unlikely, the expunges will likely be the only thing that would have any effect.

I don't believe real porn has any business being on a hentai site but I have no problem unchecking Mics and the like so that it's out of sight.
More improtantly I am all for whats best for the site.
I have read both arguments that real porn brings in revenue and that it takes up resources. But since there is no further info I will assume that the site is better off without the clutter.
So I will contribute what I can.

Also I have to add that a lot of the real porn is uploaded not for their popularity for the rewards they generate.

That'll put us at 103 total so far, I'm going to hold out for 1 or 2 more though so we have extras in case of absences and we have a good rolling start on this thing.

I was indeed the one who put it on the non-nude asians. That was part of the defined usage I was given and there was agreement to it. If you disagree I will stop using it on them until it can be discussed further.

Nah you're good, no complaints about it yet, the removing non-nude part anyway, keep it up if you want I'll let you know if anyone important mentions it.

I find it more likely that the real porn galleries are a drain on the site's resources than a boon, and nobody with the power to tell us otherwise has done so. I guess I'll just go ahead and say I'll contribute to the effort given that.

And that one person with the power to tell us (read: Tenboro) has not said the circumstances are as you suggest either. I'm not suggesting you are not allowed to use that to justify your contribution (a couple others have probably used that reasoning as well I'm sure), but it is a speculative reason at best. edit: Actually, every reason directly related to "it is better for the site" is speculative at best. If it really would have been better for it to be gone, Tenboro would have done something a long, long time ago considering the data and statistics he is capable of pulling. The reason "[real porn] does not belong on a hentai site" has far more merit that the former reason. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I find it far more likely that it's neither a boon or drain on the site, if it was a good thing Tenb would have put a quick stop to this effort, if it was negative then it would have already been removed like you said.

At the very least if it's one or the other than it's not sufficiently so to cause him to take action.

What about the shemales classed as Asian porn? I guess we can just search for the shemale tag.

I got nothing against dude porn if it's asian porn, if we're keeping the asian ladies let's keep the asian guys as well.
