Ah, never mind, we can see it.
I thought we couldn't because the dark theme makes the box white and it swallows the white letters, I have to select it to see.

Bravo, just how this should be in my opinion. If people don't want to shoulder at least some amount of the effort it takes to do these sorts of things then they shouldn't be allowed to just make some random demand and walk away from it. I know you're busy.........and as I haven't been as active on the forums as I have been in the past so I don't know if this is still happening........but the "rough grammar" and "rough translation" tags used to have the exact same problem. Someone would add the tag without the required gallery comment........has this been done to those tags? That'd be.......well, that'd be a great thing, especially for tags with such negative connotations like those have. No worry, I know everybody is busy, just thought I'd bring it up since this seems like a really similar thing (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Both "rough grammar" and "rough translation" do check whether the user has made a comment before allowing them to tag. Obviously, people technically can just make a random rubbish and then tag the damn thing, but that will just lead to a warning or ban.

It's an honor.

Ah, good, good, I didn't know but remembered it didn't used to........well, "rough grammar" didn't used to, I guess "rough translation" is a newer tag (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Cool, thanks for the heads-up (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Well, you are right, it wasn't always the case. Both the MP and comment requirements are added after the "rough translation" events.

We only have a "Show Older" button in the tracker. May we get a button to show earlier ones too?

It was intentionally left out. Just use the browser back button. This post has been edited by Cipher-kun: Aug 20 2023, 14:12

I think that the site is slowly but steadily developing in a good direction. Just having a variety of tags and that they are also used is important to quickly find what you are looking for. I like to compare chan.sankakucomplex.com. There are now so many tags which also address niche topics. This system would make it much more comprehensive. Some of my favorite tags came so added. 😊🤫
Thanks for this. I think I should post more often in the forum, so that I get from 21MP to 25 😉
@Tenboro, are there any plans to completely revamp the website design?

This new tool is for artist, group, parody, character and cosplayer tags only. Not for fetish tags. Using it to make fetish tags will lead to a tagging ban. Suggestions for fetish tags go here: https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?showforum=89Make sure to read https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?showtopic=174444 before posting. Hi, let me say first, this new addition is insanely good. It would be a great addition if the system allowed external links to be clickable ( example) At least for normal users, they are not. A lot of the namespacing effort goes in finding sources that are usually external links. Generally speaking, it is reasonable to treat external links differently, but users who create temps are +25MP and already trusted with some features. If namespace mods can click them, then its probably fine, but would still be a great addition.

That did come up when we were testing the tool - we would need a domain whitelist of some sort otherwise it would be too easy to point to a malicious URL. It's good to have the extra mental step of copy-pasting the URL to catch something like that. Feel free to make a userscript for yourself if you want to live dangerously. FWIW, we *might* consider lowering the MP requirement for that tool in the future. So while currently the eligible users probably won't be stupid enough to post a bitcoin farming crap, that might start being a problem once the entry barrier is lowered.

QUOTE(Agoraphobia @ Aug 25 2023, 23:27) lowering the MP requirement
I personally think it's not very hard to reach the 25 mp requirement for donators, especially for GSC members. They indeedly leveling up in HV too fast. However, without any donation, users are still able to reach 25 mp by constantly post in forums and tagging. Breaking down to 1(base) + acc age(5, 3 yrs) + HV(7, lv350, generally takes ~3month for non donator) + forum(7, 480days active) + tagging(4.5, requires~4500 started or 45k voted or combined at 90% or higher accuracy). I think such vigilant efforts or practices are mandentary for using the tool correctly. Maybe consider lower the thershold to 20 power so 1 year experience novice vigilant or people who would rather not playing HV at all could start using it in the future.

Ideally, I want to gradually nudge more people into using the tag creation tool instead of the thread. The forum software isn't really that well-tailored to handle NS requests (esp. when the formatting varies). It is much much more tedious to sort the NS thread compared to the tracker.

The one thing I would like to see added is some way to reach the "submit info form" for already existing temp tags. That way 25+MP users would hardly need the NS thread at all anymore. Maybe have it so that if I explicitly type "temp:existingtemptag" instead of just "existingtemptag", it takes me to the form.
Because as Agoraphobia says, the tag creation tool is much less tedious, both for making requests and resolving them.
