At some point, they dropped to about -212,290

At the moment, I have -212,228
Could someone please tell me why or how?

I wonder where this number came from. It seems kind of arbitrary. Unless your level was dropped as well, I can't see how someone level 25 could make 200,000 credits.

It doesn't look like I'll get back to positives anytime this *decade*, I'm only lv25.

Yes, it's a negative amount, i sell potions, the deficit drops. The meeting of credits and anti-credits is not as explosive as I would have thought.

Now I'm wondering if this credit loss was "official". In other words, if it somehow appears in your User CP. And in particular if Tenboro left you a message there.

Yeah. I'm wondering that too. Maybe Tenb personally saw suspicious activities, or there's some sort of bot catcher like in WoW (I don't play it, first thing that poped up) or some other mmporg, like putting you in prison if you fire 1000 times per minute or something.

That tells me it was something automatic that caught something you were doing. Not sure what the trigger might be, but that's probably a good thing to keep unknown.

That doesn't look like something intentional... I mean, it makes no sense to apply it so many times before the user can notice it. PM Tenboro, maybe there's a bug in this script/whatever.

I think it's intentional, that way if you're actually there paying attention it's not so bad of a penalty, but if you leave it overnight you're screwed.

WOW! He even cheated the 200,000 C number to 8K in his post whitout the edited thingy at the bottom... some people will never learn...and you want to be forgiven *sigh*, how about to stop cheating for now...
