Why does every site feel the need to switch to an ugly fisher price tier UI that barely works and is ass to use compared to what it used to be? And why do I need to be forced to use some ugly big button design obviously made for mobile when I'm using a desktop.

Based on the excellent job of FabulousCupcake, I tweaked it a little bit, now it should work with compact/extended list and will show the span of gid shown.

When I try to download this it keeps saying Invalid script and in Firefox, I get the message "User script download failed. Ignoring @match pattern http*://e-hentai.org/* because: Error: @match: Invalid protocol (http*(IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) specified."

The page selector displaying the page numbers kept things organized from a users perspective. It was was like a simple pointer. It sped up the browsing to search for quality material based on thumbnails. Moreover it let me know exactly where I was on the finite number line of pages. It let me know how far I was from the middle or the end of the search results. I feel lost without it as I don't have an overview. Removing it might have been beneficial for the back-end, but for me it was essential. Guess I'll wait for a third party page selector/displayer. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I was using page numbers to autistically track how many galleries were being posted on average/median daily so I could have some idea of approximately how much more I was likely to have to look through (Which at the moment is 24/23/26 all time/past month/past week.) Without page numbers I'm lost after clicking "Next" once.

I'm surprised more people didn't learn from the near death of sadpanda to back up literally everything.

I remember way back that the internet was forecasted to get worse and worse, more commercialized, sterile.
Sad to see it happen to something everyone loved.

I remembered the Data drive was small the best galleries were and are saved to an external.
It's the rest that are yet to be uncovered that I want to save.

Initially I was assmad like the rest, but after a few tests I realized the superiority in the new system. I do hope that time-range search does get implemented, but overall this is fine.

change http* to http or https to remove the error

I just found out today that 'pages' have been removed and I have no idea how this new system works, but I understand the site and database have grown very large and I want things to run smoothly and appreciate the work you put into it. So i'm trying to understand the new system as soon as possible.

Say when looking at my url, the next page beyond the home page says https://e-hentai.org/?next=2367110,
does that mean for the sake of argument if type https://e-hentai.org/?next=1150000

I will land roughly in the middle of the total entire available database? And by typing https://e-hentai.org/?next=575000 i'd roughly land at the last 25%?

If that is the case it can still be made a bit user friendlier, perhaps with a slider or something? But at least I'll be able to work with it for now.

edit: I just noticed that at least it doesn't work this way for working with tags, i'm completely lost and unable to work with the new system :/

What on earth happened to the page number?

Ugh I hate this change so much. Why would I want bookmarks to a hentai site on a browser that I use, that literally anyone can search on? I browse on a tablet, requiring me to go to the url to type stuff in order to navigate, instead of page numbers is a terrible user experience. If there was a way to do that without going to the url, that would be better, but not ideal at all. The prior system was better, even with the duplicated results

So admins don't care if we don't like this shit? No rollback?

can you give us both, gid and page number???
