Because then it wouldn't be in this state of limbo of this site being the defacto scan site while also having the worse user experience ever. I'd just move on to the next site, whatever it is. If no sites pop up for some crazy reason, then back to torrents I go.

doesn't really fix the problem tho, now instead of "oh i was on page 37" is "oh i was somewhere near the number 236833" still thanks for the quick script work. I really hope they rollback the change

I had a favorite tab named "Unavailable Galleries" just to keep track of what had been removed from the site, now it's a tab that says it contains X number of galleries but the page shows absolutely nothing inside. Can there be at least a way to remove these galleries from my favorites so I don't feel extremely sad knowing they are being counted but they are now completely gone?

So yeah, the new search is bad. It's not 'Youtube removing ability to sort channel videos by oldest' bad since you at least provided some reasoning behind it and tried to sugarcoat it with improvements. However, the decisions you made make me think that you are either out of touch or not telling us the whole picture (as in, there are serious reasons to remove page numbers but you tried to cover them up). Anyways, I assume that the new system is here to stay, and the best we can do is to improve on it.

The obvious (to me) problem is that I, like many other users, am accustomed to doing manual binary search through the page numbers when looking for something. After spending around 5 minutes thinking about it, the possible hotfix to the current system I came up with is to add 'go to middle of the left/right page array' option. It doesn't need to be perfectly accurate, as long as it would allow people to quickly narrow down their searches. I'm not sure how resource-straining would it be and it probably won't shut up a lot of people who would either struggle with the complicated concept or just be opposed to things changing, but I personally would be content with something like this.

I find it hilarious 4/5 the first people replying are decades old people with single digit forum count. It really riles people up

You don't fuck with people's porn especially when it's basically old UX functionality. One of those things in UX where if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Even if there's a backend issue, it's on the dev to maintain the UX or people are gonna be pissed as you're seeing right now.

Like I said before it might make sense from a programming perspective, but it is extremely user unfriendly and it really makes bothersome to use the site, specially for discovering stuff or tag diving. just add pages back, people didn't care about some entries appearing in 2 pages at the same time

At least leave a choice of using the old version, doesn't hurt anyone.

Please just roll it back, or at least make it so the deleted/expunged galleries and permanently fjorded galleries still show up in my faves. Even if the gallery itself is gone forever, I keep notes of stuff and it's nice to have a reference I can use to look for stuff elsewhere.
As it is now basically all my old faves are gone.
Also I see no point in opening the floodgates for AI stuff. And setting monthly upload limits so we don't get idiots posting a new gallery per 1 fanbox update.

I'm surprised more people didn't learn from the near death of sadpanda to back up literally everything.

I remember way back that the internet was forecasted to get worse and worse, more commercialized, sterile.
Sad to see it happen to something everyone loved.

Killing page numbers so I can only go page by page, or skip right to the last page, that really kinda fucks the experience. I don't know everything that's changed at the moment but from using it briefly the UI seems harder to use in general, I can't say this is a good change.

I'm sitting here trying to browse through my favourites, and the pressing "Next" takes me to "?next=2283909-1661495266". I press it again and it's "?next=637667-1657869751". Literally how is this intuitive and helpful. If I want to jump back just a bit more than normal there's no way changing this number is going to be better than clicking next 10 times. Which used to be perfectly doable in 1 click.

Why would I want to bookmark "page 10 in favourites"? You can't just add a bookmark for everything, the point of a bookmark is something often you come back to and don't need to update. Am I supposed to bookmark every 10 pages? Should I have a bookmark for page10 in favs, page20 in favs, page30 in favs, page10 in favs with this tag, page10 in favs with this other tag, etc? Am I supposed to guess that after "?next=2283909-1661495266" and "?next=637667-1657869751" is "?next=437667-1647869751"? or "?next=537667-1655869751"? Could you even directly tell what I changed in those?

If you search something on youtube and maybe want something not quite newest of the new, would you rather click page 10 and see from there? Or do you want to randomly guess the upload ID of a video to search behind, then do it again for the next batch. Should you bookmark this?

Page numbers have reasonable uses. And I think "reasonable" is used extremely underemphasized here. I don't understand why it could be thought of as a good idea to completely remove them and defend it. And it looks like many people feel the same way given it drove them to post here while normally quiet

By the way, I have a suggestion for the forums. I see page numbers down here. I think you should remove them and replace them with comment IDs. That way you can enjoy not seeing how many comments the thread actually has, have no idea of its engagement, or jumping past a heated back-and-forth instead of pressing Next 10 times or guessing the comment IDs to skip over. What do you think?

Actually I learned and downloaded all favs to my computer and I download new favs each month and I'm GLAD that I downloaded my newest favs recently, I had various expunged galleries and they're not anymore in the favs! I know they still show up in E-Hentai but who knows if the admin does the same to E-Hentai later, removing the expunged galleries.

Wow, this looks really promising. And since we know that the max limit now per 'page' is 100 (depends on hath perk tho), so we might be able to convert into page number. Maybe by acquireing perk from user setting?
