QUOTE(Tenboro @ Jan 25 2023, 18:29) I'm sure you can find various edge cases like that, yeah. I'll make a note about it, but I dunno if it'll get changed or not.
When I search "dragon ball af english", it doesn't work, and nothing shows up, but when I do "english dragon ball af", suddenly it shows all the English translations of the Dragon Ball AF fancomics present here. In a similar vein, when I search "fist of the north star english" or "english fist of the north star", only three results are shown. When I search "hokuto no ken english" or "english hokuto no ken", nothing is shown. It's only I search "english fist_of_the_north_star", "fist_of_the_north_star english", "english hokuto_no_ken", (notice the underscores) or "english "hokuto no ken", ""hokuto no ken" english", "english "fist of the north star"", or ""fist of the north star" english" (notice where more quotes are placed), that I get (more or less) the full repertoire of English translated Fist of the North Star parody fancomics. Notably, when I search "english "dragon ball af"", or ""dragon ball af" english", with "dragon ball af" in quotes, I get (as of this writing) 1,211 results, the vast majority of which have nothing whatsoever to do with Dragon Ball AF. Can you fix the code so that I don't have to do weird search engine tricks just to get consistent results? I want a simple "english hokuto no ken" to work just as well as "english hokuto_no_ken". Please, and thank you. Also, can you make a option to toggle pagination on or off? I hate that some of my "guidepost" bookmarks are ruined now because of this new style of search pagination. Please, and thank you (again).

Working as intended. Two-letter words aren't generally indexable or searchable, meaning they end up being combined with other words, so if it doesn't guess correctly for the best way to combine them, you need to use quotes to combine them appropriately.

What about the explosion of (useless) results I get when I put "dragon ball af" in quotes for my search?

QUOTE(InariOkami @ Feb 2 2023, 21:46) What about the explosion of (useless) results I get when I put "dragon ball af" in quotes for my search? Like Shank says, it's because of a slaved tag that matches your search exactly, but it seems like a junk tag so I've flagged that one as unsearchable.

Is there a reason why whenever I search for anything it shows me that there 60 results and I only get like 40?

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Nov 2 2022, 10:09) For performance reasons, the search engine will no longer count the exact number of results in large result sets; instead result counts will usually be approximated based on various metrics. It will say "about" if the count is an estimate.

Is there any way to search by comiket? I've tried search query "C*" but it's too short to be executed. And the search engine doesn't utilize regexp so I can't use "C/d+"

And the search engine doesn't utilize regexp so I can't use "C/d+" For all Comikets at once, not to my knowledge. If you want to search for a specific one, you can do that (e.g. "C69") with the exception of Comikets 1-9.

Thank you for answer. It seems there is no way. I needed all comikets.

Small nitpick: When I browse a search result "oldest to newest" I may end up on the on a page containing the most recent galleries, for example: https://e-hentai.org/tag/male:multiple+arms?prev=2405877In this case, "< Prev" is greyed out (because there is no previous page), but I can still click "<< First", which takes me to https://e-hentai.org/tag/male:multiple+armsThis behaviour makes sense & is useful, because while both links (right now) show the most recent galleries, they have different intentions and properties. However, this behaviour is missing on the other end of the spectrum. E.g. on the following page: https://e-hentai.org/tag/male:multiple+arms?next=867703I can click neither "Next >" nor "Last >>", but I would expect to be able to click "Last >>" to be taken to https://e-hentai.org/tag/male:multiple+arms?prev=1, which would mirror the behaviour for "<< First". As it stands, I have to navigate to a prior page and then hit ""Last >>".

As it stands, I have to navigate to a prior page and then hit ""Last >>". The main reason for this behavior is that if you are on the first page in backwards browsing mode, new content can show up which would make it no longer be the first page, so it makes sense to have an easy way to flip it around to the first page in forwarding browsing mode. I guess there might be some reason for why you would want to go to the last page in backwards browsing mode if you are on the last page in forwards browsing mode, even if new content wouldn't generally be added after that page, though I can't really think of one. I'll consider changing it just to be consistent anyway.

I've noticed some strange behaviors with leading dashes in quotes. While "3 -Botsuraku" is a valid search, "-Botsuraku" isn't. Is this expected?

If the dash is the first character it's evaluated as an exclusion term, if not it's an inclusion term even if there is a dash in it.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Nov 2 2022, 12:38) If you explain why you need to go to page 50, I'll tell you how it's intended to work with the new search engine.
I have favorites ordered by "Favorite time", and I just randomly jump between fresh ones and older ones. I normally did this by jumping directly to Page 3, or 6, or just randomly jump inbetween. It was as easy as one click. Now I'm apparently limited to 6 options? Yet I have not discovered how to use them properly... Now I just click next and next and next... Every other pr0n website still has numbers in the search results. People sometimes just want to jump around content
