Please give us a option to open/close the page selector .
Please just don't remove the page selector recklessly and roughly, you see, a lot of people needs it!
I REALLY need it! It is important for me when I try to find things.
And the most important thing is.... A app named Ehviewer need the page selector to
show the next page things , and as the page selector gone , the Ehviewer can no longer be used.
It will be a disaster for people who like me use the Ehviewer to see e-hentai's things.\

That is correct.
The problem is, that I found no other site like E-H for uploading your own stuff in such a quality.
So this sites are an Oasis.

But the view "user should be browsing" is totally nonsence...If I want to browsing, I can this also with the Page selector. But a Fast search with this version is not makeable.

No plan, How do you come up with such nonsense?

I just want to navigate quick and fast by simply clicking the page number to fap, but now I have to be a tech savvy to navigate the gallery just to fap?

I get that this update is good on the technical side for the site but the user experience side is taking a huge nose dive that I don't think the technical merits are worth it.

It makes searching for anything on the site extremely unpleasant, even going through my favorites is an annoying act now. Please reconsider this update.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. So what if the site looks like it came straight out of 2007? Web design was good then.

The inability of getting the expunged galleries in the same search with the regular ones is indeed vexing.

For the "page index" issue, I also used heavily the feature; still, I think that just adding a couple buttons like "Next 10 times" and "Next 100 times" would ease the problem, without creating any tech problem on the new implementation. It just saves us to ruin our hands with clicking (the system can do the click for us, can't it?).
Doing the same for "Prev" could be a real problem, though.

I very much appreciate the possibility of doing searches for "Low power tags" with only those showing up. This helps a lot us tagger fixing old left ups of obviously wrong tagging.

All in all, I have mixed feelings for this ... and I completely agree with those that says it just was too abrupt !

Still, I think this upgrades,with a few changes here and there, could be not just a tech necessity but even an improvement ... somewhat.

Is anyone else getting the image files corrupted when downloading the pics normally from the galleries? Tried it before the thumbnail fix rolled, it's still a little wonky for me. Do others have the same issue or is this problem exclusive on my end? Thanks.

So we can get more search results now? But what's the point when you cant navigate through the pages with page numbers anymore? While maybe this might be an improvement on the technical side of things this is a MASSIVE downgrade in the usability of the site.

Let's say I do a tag search with over 300k returns or whatever, and I know the gallery I'm looking for is somewhere right in the middle between the first uploaded gallery and last uploaded gallery, before it would've been really easy to just go right to the middle of the page numbers and start looking around, but what am I supposed to do now?
Just click "next" a million times until I get where I need to be?

I am not smart user. I don't use cookie or bookmarks. Sometimes i want to see random combine of tag that i feel like to right that moment for example "ahegao" "big penis" .What i used to do is type "ahegao" "big penis" ,tick search expunged galleries, jump to page uh idk maybe 60 or 70 depends on how many page and my mood and watch a few of them.
Now I don't know how to do it with new search engine. Please tell me exact step for this to perform about the same thing as I do before, and be as simple as you can since I am not smart.

People wanted their OR searches, now they will have them.
Enjoy the update everyone, especially with people shitscared to have their "tag accuracy" drop (and "mod power") while our new landlords are enjoying their catgirl status, immunity and fun with black market.

Gotta adapt and fix the css here, I didn't even notice my css was literally going offscreen when displaying the stuff that's now "gone" lol.

Well, wasn't expecting this to be my first post, but we all gotta start from somewhere I guess...

Anyway, thanks for the update. I do understand the reason behind it and I appreciate everyone who worked hard to push out this update. But I do think the communication could have been better. If you guys have announced this a month ago as a planned change, yes there would have been hundreds of complains but a number of people might have given some good ideas to minimize the impact on the user experience.

I think the following will be very helpful with potentially limited impact on the server side:

1. An option to replace published time with GIDs will provide a straightforward way for the users to know where they are at when searching.

2. An option to search based on published time which will allow users to quickly find an approximate GID to use. This can just accept a single date.

3. A sort of 'startfrom:GID' option under advanced search that does not involve manually altering the url. While the two might be the same, the current approach seems poor in terms of UX

4. Jump 5 pages or eqivalent might be nice, if it's not too resource intensive.

Also, I don't understand why the favorites are treated the same way. Is searching through favorites that RAM intensive? And I think unavailable galleries should show up in the favorites. Sometimes you favorite something which later gets taken down but you at least want to know that thing existed. Now I have a number of unavailable galleries which does not show up in the favorites but still gets counted with no way to figure out what it was nor remove them from the favorites.

RIP page numbers. I will miss going to page 255 and skipping back 5 pages at a time. I'm just adding to the pile of people who miss the page numbering though.

Old way searching artist:

Old way when browsing something you're somewhat familiar with:

>you want to jump to something from the period when they started getting good

And for all the claimed performance increase, the new search in actual usage is much slower. Clicking a page link before was instant, has been for a decade, but now each page link just stalls there for up to 10 seconds before finally advancing to the next page.

Selecting "Search Expunged Galleries" will now only search expunged galleries in normal searches.

Probably a bit annoying but managable.

(File searches, GID searches and favorite searches will always display both normal and expunged galleries.)

This is nice. Especially since it also shows blacklisted tags. Thanks for this!

If you look at the URL, you'll see "next=number" or "prev=number" at the end of it. This number is the gallery id, and you can change it to whatever to go to the results immediately following (next) or preceding (prev) that gallery.

This will be very odd for some time. I can see the advantage, though as konakona7 wrote:

Bug:

If I have a gallery open, click on a tag and click on "Show Tagges Galleries" it shows me search site as normal.
For example:

But the system will add more and more quotes if you click on any of the buttons "<< First", "< Prev", ...

So, if I click on the buttons several times, it shows me

CODE

parody:""""""""my hero academia"""""""$"

in the search bar. It did jumped to the next and previous "site" as clicked, it's just the search bar which messed up.

If I for myself use the search and use the same tag

CODE

parody:"my hero academia$"

the system won't add any quotes if I click on the navigation buttons (first, prev, ...)

It seems only the "Show tagged galleries" is affected. Since if I do that and include another tag, it's a custom user search now. (as shown in the URL)

Also why am I only limited to 100 results when I bought the 200 results per page perk?

- The max number of results per page is now 100. Paging Enlargement III was removed and will be refunded Soon™.

I dont suppose there is a way to get page number back? Also waht is this GID everyone is apparently talking about? I dont really understand the description.

Search gone weird.

When I try to search my friends releases by uploader, it works fine.

When I do the same with my account (excluding Gallery management): nothing is displayed.

Can you fix that?

EDIT: This happens on E-H. old version works... normal, I guess.
