this new system kinda sucks tho. like, theres gotta be something that can be done to fix the issue.
you said that the server was taking more and more time to search the database for results, right?
why the hell is it doing that? why not have a smaller server alongside the main one that's dedicated to text files? that way every time something gets uploaded, it gets a spot in the holy text file? that way the main server can just pull the number of what to display from the text file server?

unless i'm missing something, that shouldn't be too hard, right? in robotics club like 10 years ago we did a similar thing with a robot where it would pull responses from a related text file that was named "food" if it was a question about food or "music" if it was something about music

And maybe additional small feature request where if you search expunged galleries you will also see the copyright removed entries so you know it exists and can search for it in different way, even legally and buying it, use e-hentai as general index of stuff. Or does it break the copyright? Maybe no thumbnail in that case. They still live in my favourites...

Yes.

Put 'next=2000000' and it will search the galleries starting at 1999999, 1999998 and so on until all the page is filled or until 1000 galleries are checked.

Put 'prev=2000000' and it will search the galleries starting at 2000001, 2000002 and so on until all the page is filled or until 1000 galleries are checked.

That is the idea.

The fact that the search for expunged galleries now seems to be separate from the regular search means that I have to perform my frequent searches twice: One time for the non-expunged galleries and one time to see whether an upload was expunged.

I do not understand why this is done, and how it decreases server load.

Previously, I could browse expunged content together with the non-expunged galleries.

I'm not going to throw a puerile temper-tantrum, but I'd welcome if the search reverted to the previous behavior (ie browse expunged content together with the rest). I have no other concerns or complaints. Thank you.

For some reason, this new format looks like the FBI format to look for S.Ps and their navigation habits.

lol so now the ugly change they made to the e-hentai site came over to the main site for the removal of the perfectly working page number system lol this site is going downhill they made it more broke they didnt fix anything. Also please give us a god damn toggle to bring back the page numbers it shouldnt be that fucking hard

How about they add a UI feature that actually makes doing that process intuitive rather than this workaround you just detailed. If I gotta do all that just to search a for a gallery relative to where i'm at instead of the intuitive method every other site uses and this one used to, clearly there is an issue with the design.

can we AT LEAST get pages for the godam favorites i mean cmonnn even the favorite section is useless now cmon man.

.. you cant search for stuff effectively you cant search by popularity i tried to search for something with 3 tags and i get the "Found many results. " for something with only 3 pages of results.

hmm okay lets be real ehentai is not really popular the stats show it people prefer to use "scrapers" sites by miles this update made everything worst for both the random user who try to get into this site and the regular users.

limiting the tag search to allow pagination was just a better option than what we have now .

It is iterally for the worse, the archive is absurd to browse now.
