You can't equip a staff and a shield at the same time. If you get a shield then and try to equip it together with a staff you'll find that.

My defenses can handle the top 2 difficulties currently (just with alot of pot chugging for PFUDOR) with buffs and potions, but the issue I'm having currently is damage/clear speed (on any difficulty). I feel like i'm currently overkill on defense and slightly lacking offense, so I wanted to try switching to power armor.

Killing is slow currently but i'm getting alot of use out of the stamina at PFUDOR by throwing time at it so I should be high enough level to equip the highest level piece within a few days.

Sorry to have seen your post a day later.

Generally plates have superior defenses to powers, while having some pows in your set can somehow increase your survivability since you kill monsters faster (and you are attacked less). Just have a try (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Anyway, no need to be too hurry if you find PFUDOR too tough. HV is just a game so just have fun!
