Question: What's going on, why is there another thread now?

Answer: See here - the last thread ran into the post character limit and stopped updating the forum post soon after the start of the auction, so to be fair, everything is being listed again, in two separate threads (to avoid running into the limit). This is the first such re-listing. The second thread with the rest of the items from Auction #329 will be posted a few hours after this one ends Tuesday, and that second thread's auction will end at 14:00 UTC Thursday.

Auction Rules and Features:

• Automatic proxy bidding is highly recommended over bidding normally if you're seriously interested in something. If you bid from [reasoningtheory.net] the website, you will automatically outbid any other bidders by the minimum bid, up to your limit. (You can still bid normally any time, of course.) PM me to get a bidkey.
• If you want realtime audio alerts on new bids or when you get outbid, go to the bid log (link below)
• If you want an item, be courteous to other bidders by bidding early and consistently. Early bidders will be rewarded with a discount. Bidders who wait until the last few hours will be penalized with a tax. See details here. Most players will receive a discount. To guarantee a good discount, submit a proxy bid of your true maximum before the last day of the auction.
• Outbid Notifications: If you want to be alerted via PM or MM when you get outbid on an item, type itemcode (bid?) notify (both PM and MM) or itemcode (bid?) notify pm (PM only) or itemcode (bid?) notify mm (MM only).
  Example: One01 500k notify or One01 notify mm. You only need to enable notifications once for an item (you don't need to "notify" again each time you re-bid).
• All posted bids should be in credits (or "Start" = starting bid) in multiples of 1k and must immediately follow the item code or codes. Codes must match what's displayed in the auction; 5 characters, no spaces. (capitalization, brackets, and dashes don't matter)

  One01 200k is valid. [One02] 1.5m is valid. One04 start is valid. One05 I will bid 400k is invalid. one06 one07 start is valid.
  Line breaks are fine, but other words are not. See this post for details.

• Valid bids and commands must be in unedited posts only. This is so that everyone can see bids in chronological order without any possible confusion. (a note will be added to Post #2 for edited posts just in case it was accidental)
• Bids made during or after the last 15 minutes will extend the item auction for another 15 minutes starting from the last bid time.
• Posts made at the same time as the deadline (eg. xx:00) are valid, but bids after (eg. xx:01) are not.
• Bids made via forum post can be canceled by typing itemcode cancel in a subsequent post before the last 24 hours of the auction, but should not be done after. If you mistype, you can edit your post to invalidate your bid if you have not revealed a proxy bid.
• Invalid posts/bids will be listed in Post #2 rather than being posted in a new reply, generally, but you will also receive an automatic PM / MM.
• If a new version of HV is released, the auction may be delayed or canceled.
• Winners will receive the items with CoD.
• You do not have to pay immediately if you are a reputable player. There are no hard time limits. If you might not have the funds to pay your max bid, please PM me.

Minimum bid increments:

• Start bid: 50k unless noted
• +3% for [Mat]s, or if bid >= 2m
• If the item is not a [Mat]:
  • +30k if bid < 200k
  • +50k if 200k <= bid < 2m
• A proxy bidder's last bid is exempt (1k minimum increment)

i took the freedom to edit title of event #329 into "auction canceled due to update issues" or something. i would ask you to edit title of the current one into something like "partial rerun of auction #329".


for all the other users who are wondering:

I included too many items in the auction list and hit the forum post character limit way sooner than I thought, resulting in Post #1 failing to update. All bids (both manual and proxy) were still processed properly, but their results were only displayed [reasoningtheory.net] on the website, not on the forum. The resulting final prices are probably pretty close to what they would have been if there hadn't been problems, but some may have been reluctant to participate, so to be conservative, I won't send out the items as they were bid on here.

I'll make a new thread, and to avoid hitting the character limit, will list only some of the items from this thread. The first half of the items will be put into a thread listed ~now until 14:00 UTC Tuesday, and the second half of the items will be put into another thread listed ~18:00 UTC Tuesday until 14:00 UTC Thursday.
