Once again, I would like to suggest that, after 30 seconds of no input from the player, enchantments should stop counting down. Then if we're doing the Tower and we start getting lag, we can put it down and come back later, without all of the enchantments being gone.
Either that or just make it possible to reapply enchantments during the run.

QUOTE(Necromusume @ Dec 17 2022, 19:08) Once again, I would like to suggest that, after 30 seconds of no input from the player, enchantments should stop counting down. This would change EVERYTHING about playing. I would use many more enchantments (and probably play more) if I knew I did not have the risk of lag (or other interuption) wasting the enchantments. But I assume this behavior is very much intentional, designed to force us to over apply enchantments, and play straight through, or risk having them expire at the end, when we really want them. Though the underlying logic of why this behavior is desirable isn't obvious to me. I would love to understand the intent of the current design. On another topic: I know that the current Isekai season end date is currently TBD. It would be really nice if we knew how much advanced notice will be provided before the end of season. Knowing that we might get a minimum of two weeks vs a minimum of 2 days, for instance, would change my calculus of how much (or whether) to keep playing, how much to spend on upgrading equipment, etc.

If enchantments are going to be gone (although being based in real time was annoying, I had no opinion on removing them, because annoying things are generally necessary and players are not as masochistic as they should be) then maybe weapons would reduce to having only one added element each.
If this is the case, then Demonic/Hallowed will become weaker for melee, because right now they are arguably struggling to maintain their preferred status (due to monster PL creep, they have become greatly inferior to Fiery/Arctic/Shocking/Tempestuous on their own). Right now, Demonic/Hallowed is still the best in any arena on most days because you can infuse a second elemental and switch your spike shield accordingly.
The element of the day system might also be re-evaluated if we lose the ability to infuse the corresponding element of our choice on each day.

I would love to see some statistics of Isekai play...how many players reached what level...what level were they themselves...and maybe layering in equipment choices. To be honest, I'd like to see it for normal play too. I'm just interested in what is going on in the community, which is over-represented in Forums by types, so any cross-tab stats of any variables would be welcome. As someone on the tail end of 'noob' status, Isekai better pursuit than traditional?

Interesting question, I would think yes. I think both should be played but isekai should be your focus until you manage to get some good equips. As a noob your main goal should be equips and credits because as a low level even if you gain lots of credits you're unlikely to find useful buys due to soulfusing range. But, I only think that should be the way you do things for 1 season, then maybe more focus on main because all your progress goes away and the end goal is a strong persistent.

It depends a lot on what you are trying to achieve. Above, SPoison expects you to take the game at least semi-seriously and to have long-term goals. My main reason to play Isekai is that while I do play on a regular basis, I generally don’t invest that much time or effort. In Isekai, I can harvest arena and ring bonus credits every season. Then again, if you have extremely short-term goals, Isekai is not for you, because you have to wait months to get anything out of it.

Some insights from a casual player:
Isekai pro: + Quick leveling + Quick money (arena first time rewards; material drops you can sell) + Tower + Get bonus stat points for persistent (for tower clearing) + Soulfused/Peerless equipment and most of the money gets transferred to persistent once season ends + Free Follower of Snowflake perk
Isekai cons: - You start from scratch every new season, so no long term goals - Have to find/buy and work on good equipment every new season - Lack of equipment/time per season might force you into a playstyle you don't like - Rewards all go to persistent, so no bonus for Isekai itself - Tower gets pretty time sonsuming pretty fast - There's some stuff you can only get in persistent (artifacts, chaos token, festival collectibles)

I fundamentally don't play anymore, the game just bore me to death now. I play Isekai whan a new season come out until i reach the level to get +1 stat points then stop, coincidentally, at that point the game have just slowed down too much to be fun to me, i don't know how i got at level 500 in the first place. I like fast game with short sessions or long sessions with a good story background or a fun fighting action, hentaiverse offer neither and the full randomeness of RNG make it so frustrating that i reached my limit time ago.

Same here. Reached level 500 after lots of EXP bonus from dawns of new day, then cleared last arena and stopped playing. I am currently only playing games with less RNG and that have actual characters, graphics, music, backgrounds, etc. But I may play the game for a while again depending of the content of the next update.

I also fundamentally don't play anymore. Having characters, graphics, music would be nice.
But while sort of on the subject of this, I think this is the sort of game where it is nice to take long breaks, for many years perhaps, and come back occasionally. Isekai sort of puts pressure on you to play though to get the stat bonus every season.
While I like this stat bonus (it's all I really play for) and think it rewards the proper (non-obsessive) amount of Isekai play, it might be nice not to have this pressure either. This is probably one of those things where you can't have it both ways, so whatever is fine with me.
I don't understand complaining about RNG (maybe it only annoys mages). While there is underlying randomness it's just like a grinding RPG and it doesn't affect your overall performance or outcomes.

I think the point of this game is tide you over for some credits to buy GP so you can download some galleries.
But the long term goal is to have you get sick and tired of the game and realize that running hentai at home to get hath/credits/GP.
Then if that doesn't work out, you would start posting galleries on e-hentai to gain tons of gp. And if that is too hard, force you to go to other piracy websites to download picture galleries, then post those galleries on e-hentai.
And the game also acts as a hath/credit/gp sink if you get too much from your gallery post passive sources.

when I see this topic is bumped I thought there's eventually some update, but always ends to somewhat disappointing. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)
