It was the best anime of the season for me and its probably in my to 10, while some parts were a bit slow i think the show is vastly under rated.

no matter how big and how it over rated by others, it still depend you like to watch it or or not
same thing, an anime that prove to be shit by other might be some gold for you
it is subjective, dont follow the trend, follow yourself

It's all about personal perception and preference. Compared to the novel, it doesn't impress me very much

What i liked is that it had an actual proper ending.

I liked the overall story.
But the end sequence, The FEELS!

Pretty good for me, but it doesn't fit everyone's taste. I like the transcriptions and metaphors A1 pictures made in the anime. Anyway, if I have to pick something I will say the beginning of the 2nd part is boring.

Hell yeah, a good 9/10 for me

For me, 86 is a great animation. It has creativity, innovation, brotherhood, love, friendship, and thinking about robots. Even robots have feelings. But its worldview seems too small, confined to a small island. It is a great pity.

As someone who hasn't read the original work (which I am), the animation is well-crafted, especially the editing of the final few episodes.

Novel&Anime are all great.But I prefer novel. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Never watched the Anime, but I fizzled out on volume 7 of the light novel. It just gets really boring. What's interesting is the politics and character interactions, yet it feels like most of the novels are combat.

Reading about the combat was interesting up to a point, but the author didn't do enough to make that interesting past the first or second novel, with the exception of some "boss battles" I guess you could call them.

I'd imagine the combat would actually be more interesting for longer in the Anime, given that you're actually seeing something happen instead of reading it.
