QUOTE(BlackHimari @ Dec 22 2024, 19:52) What do you mean by "fail"? The result has been updated and you can see you won the bid for [sky05]:
sorry, I'm confused I get it The bidding time limit is for individual pieces of equipment, not for the entire auction. I misunderstood this, which led to the failure. Thanks for the answer I just want to understand the rules clearly. An inexplicable failure feels terrible.

I attempted an auction I should not have because I was not aware until it was too late that only donors could trade on the Isekai server. A warning in the future might be helpful and I apologize for the trouble I caused.

Noni's DIY Isekai Equipment Auction #111 [btr01] Legendary Mithril Power Gauntlets of Slaughter (Lv.275, SDE) (current: piyin 550k) Are both my and pir3sbruno's bids invalid? Why does Noni's DIY Auction Helper say I won the auction and I didn't get it?
sorry,I made a screenshot of Noni's DIY Auction Helper But I don't know how to upload images

Could you maybe note in the auction explanation to kindly not edit bidding posts except when correcting mistakes?
I don't wanna create drama but in the current auction 8JQFPA outbid my 2.5m bid by editing the bid on their prior post to 3.5m, which doesn't look good but fine. But then after like 10 hours of not getting outbid they then edited their post again to lower their winning bid to 3m (maybe other bids too idk). I don't think I need to explain why that's bad.
I'm just gonna send them a friendly message about this. Only talking about it here cause it probably would be useful to at least quickly mention proper editiquette in the rules.

After looking up historical prices for similar equipment I reassessed my price expectations and revised my bid, now realizing that it was unfair to others. Next time I will be more cautious in bidding instead of quoting a high price. Thanks for pointing out my misbehavior! [ara16] Peerless Savage Power Boots of Protection (270, IW 4, PXP 381, forged 8, ADB 100%, Str 100%, Dex 100%, End 100%, Pmit 100%, Mmit 100%, Phy CC 100%, Phy CD 100%, Crus 100%, Slas 100%, Pier 100%, Burden 0%, Interf 0%) Start: 80m (start: 50k)
I understand that it is my own fault because I wrote it in the wrong format, but can you change the starting price to mine? Or maybe I should edit my message and put it in brackets

I have a question: Can I cancel my offer before the end of the sale? I've actually done it, but I find that I don't know if it's allowed.

If you make a mistake, you can edit your bid. If you change your mind, you can even delete your bid. But what happened here? Why did you bid 3 times, and then edited after the end of the auction? Editing AFTER the auction ends is not okay. I see that the winner of the item did that as well. Could you please explain what happened?

Here's how I understand it: According to the rules, if there is a bid 15 minutes before the end of the auction, the auction will be extended for 15 minutes until no more bids are placed within that 15 minutes. Then, during the extension period, the auction is not over, and the bid can still be withdrawn. The auction will not end until the extension period ends, and it will be displayed as [end] on [Noni's DIY Auction Helper]. After that, it is not allowed to modify or withdraw the bid. Of course, this is my personal understanding, because the rules don't say anything about it. That's why I'm here to ask for advice. The reason for the repeated revisions was simple, because the bid was too high at the time, and I was repeatedly struggling with whether it was worth it to continue bidding.

Suppose there is an item that we both want. My psychological price limit is 20M, and yours is 15M. In this case, when I bid 15M, I should win the item. However, if bids can be unconditionally canceled, you could continue bidding even after the price exceeds your psychological limit, pushing me to bid up to 20M. When you place a higher bid, say 21M, I will no longer bid. Then, after discovering that 20M is my psychological price limit, you cancel your bid in the last minute, forcing me to win the item at 20M. Winning the item for 20M is still fine, but I could have originally won it for 15M, saving 5M. And by the time I realize this, the last minute has already passed, and I can no longer cancel my bid. For me, this is unfair. On the other hand, if bids cannot be canceled, you would have to bid carefully, because every bid you place could potentially exceed my psychological price limit, forcing you to win the item yourself. This could be quite expensive or even unaffordable.

Use your example: You bid 20M, which means that you are willing to use this bid to beat my previous bid, such as 19M. Why do you think you should win gear at 15M? No, you shouldn't. I've already bid up to 19M, and if you want to get the gear, you'll have to increase the price to 20M, which is what you should pay. If you don't want to bear the price, you should abandon or withdraw the final bid – and that's what I did. After you bid 20M, I shouldn't have any more objections to my previous bid, either to modify it or to withdraw it – and that's what you should do. Now the only question is: the final bid can be abandoned or withdrawn before the auction ends, and when exactly will this "auction end"? This post has been edited by 7510sina: Mar 30 2025, 11:47
